Reminds me of the 2010 team. They rebounded and K played a deeper bench with Miles, Mason, Ryan Kelly and Andre Dawkins coming off the bench.

We didn't play a very deep bench that year. In fact, our big three all averaged over 35 mpg with Jon barely under 37. It was primarily a seven, at some instances, eight man rotation. Ryan didn't figure in much and even Mason and Andre averaged less than 15 mpg.

Other than that, though....this team carries a lot of similarities.

If I’m remembering correctly didn’t a lot of people refer to the 2010 team as Eight is Enough”?

Yes, the “deep” part was with our BIGS and with Ryan playing stretch 4 who could also be used as a Big or to spell a guard/forward. Dawkins hit some big 3’s in the Baylor game in the Elite 8 as well. So not exactly like 2010, but pretty close.

The neat thing, if I remember correctly on the 2010 team, is K ran everything around Scheyer, Singler, and Smith. Limited their practice times as well as basically slowing the game down to a degree so as not to wear those 3 out.
I’d say it was a brilliant move. Agree with QC that 10 may have been his best job. 94 right there too.

Whatever happened to that analyst? I don’t see him anywhere.
Doug "kicked out of ND for credit card fraud" Gottilieb is at Fox now.
Fox doesn't do a lot of college basketball coverage so not too sure why he is there. The only time I ever hear from him is he does fill-ins for Colin Cowherd.
Listening to a college basketball guy talk all NFL and NBA is pretty terrible.
