Was there any significant injuries? OFC
Sky not that I am aware of, a true saving grace!

I don't disagree at all with the wait and see. My point, however, is that so far, he has NEVER looked very good. He kept us from losing some games that we should not have lost (e.g. Baylor), but he has never demonstrated a D1 skill set. I deep down hope I am wrong about his skill set, but have seen nothing yet to make me a believer. This is not negativity for the sake of negativity, but just objective personal opinion.AGREE with Surf: Far too early to write Harris off. Remember if his td pass doesnt sail right thru our WR's hands in end zone its 7-0 Duke. Q will rebound next week!! OFC
Didn't write Harris off. Merely said that he has a ways to go to prove himself as a D1 QB. In the two games Duke won with Harris at QB, he was merely adequate.AGREE with Surf: Far too early to write Harris off. True, but my comment was not at all limited to the Bama game. In fact, I did not mention his performance in that game, which was, as you state, was not unlike the performance of many other QB's against Bama. Does not change the fact that his performance in that game was not good.Against Alabama a lot of QB'S has a way to go to prove themselves as a Duke QB. OFC
You played with them for a while, that bodes well for your team
I agree with everything you say. All I am saying is that I watched him last year, and my impression was that he was nothing special. The Bama game did nothing to change that impression. I do hope, however, that he turns out to be very special, or at least good. There certainly is nothing which would prevent him from greatly improving or becoming a great leader. No matter how you slice it, Harris was two and oh as starter last year. Bama cant be used as a barometer this year. Why? When your sample size is as small as arguably country's BEST TEAM loaded w/1st rd picks you have to squelch the criticism....
Like I said earlier his pass gets caught (as it should have been) in 1st qtr Duke goes up 7-0. We'll never know, but could have put completely different spin on game. Now if he struggles vs A&T, thats cause for concern.

Apples and Oranges. OFCLest we forget early on in Daniel Jones journey there were some struggles.Remember the 4-8 season in '16? Played only mediocre in home loss to Wake and road loss at NW. After a sterling performance at Notre Dame to make us 2-2, we came home and were routed by UVA. He was picked 5 times that day, and Cut exploded in post game presser why didnt he insert back-up Parker Boehme.
Bottom line: DJ was an outstanding QB. However he was given PLENTY of opportunities to fail....OFC

So something I don’t see to many people talking about is AJ Reed. I think it’s so awesome that this kid stuck around for the last two years. He had a disastrous freshman campaign, which I imagine must have rattled him. Then he just rode the pine the last two years waiting for his turn. As I understand it, he wasn’t given the start either, he had to beat out someone else to get it.
I know it was a chipshot, but it’s a great start for him and a confidence booster. I hope he keeps the job and continues to do great. @surfdevil do you have any thoughts on him?
Well, if AJ Reed can turn things around, so can Quentin. He looked really confident kicking it too.
