I honestly didn’t expect us to play much better than this.. a morning game after a long break and no Tre Jones.. I cant believe we were 28pt favorites.
I don't think he's any better than Kyle Singler was as a freshman - probably not as good - and Singler stayed 4.
It's a different era, of course, but right now the only three I see worthy of a 1st round pick are Carey, Stanley (b/c of his athleticism), and Jones (late 1st).
The game of basketball if much more enjoyable if the ball is going through the hoop for your team. I know......deep.

Just an FYI. When I comment Alex is having a bad day, that doesn’t mean I hate him. You know better.
I agree that Baker should probably come off the bench. A lot of young players struggle when they have a big game and all of a sudden realize they are supposed to be one of the good players. It's a mental challenge that most people struggle to take on.
But 3 point shooting is the greatest weakness this team has. They are young and defense will become more consistent. Carey is a force. Passing can be really great. Nevertheless they can't really afford a shooting game like this in the NCAAs once they get past round 1. They may not be able to afford bad shooting in the 1st round depending on their seed and who they play. But by the 2nd round, they will have to shoot the 3 consistently and with confidence.

We really all have to be careful with our comments about this particular team. Alex and Moore probably stunk it up the most in the first half. Joey wasn’t far behind.
Total different half for Alex. Vernon started us out, then Alex found it. And boy has he showed out. All this while our hottest shooter, Baker, is sitting.

I certainly hope he stays all four. I think he’d go down as one of our greats if he did. Agreed, though personally I’d go just two, Tre needs to add quite a bit to his offensive arsenal, mainly his shooting ability before he goes pro. He grew up a Duke fan though so I believe he’ll end up staying at least another year if not all four.

First 3 quarters of this game was ugly, but last 10 minutes were much better. Alex and Wendell played much better the last 10 minutes. Was glad to see it for both of them!!!

Justin Robinson has to be leading the nation in blocks per minute played.. I swear he gets 2+ blocks and only gets a minute or 2 a game.

I like seeing AOC stepping up and also Baker in the last few games. Hopefully by March both of them will be draining 3 s and open the floor up for our playmakers. Keep gaining confidence boys y’all could be the key for this team in the end.
Man, I swear I've been on the road since 7:45 this morning from Va and finally got to Nc for the night. First thing I did was check the board and thought we lost. Looked at the espn score and a 25 point win. About to watch it now and see what all the commotion was about lol.
There’s a replay in the ESPN app. If you go into sports>men’s college bb>on demandSlept in past 10AM for the first time in years. Woke up and thought “oh I’ll be able to watch the game on DVR and ffw through all the commercials and halftime.”
