I was thinking the same thing? They are starting to go overboard. constantly trying to down Duke even at the cost of blatant lies. The ref crap has tired out a long time ago. I'm going to see if I can think of something else for them to focus on like relationships outside of immediate family members and getting past the kindergarten placement test. Too much focus on Duke can't be healthy.
6 out of the first 23 threads on RR are about Duke and the game tonight. They’re so obsessed with Duke that they can’t keep their obsession in just one thread.

Wait, I just looked at the box score and Jack White got 3 minutes.. When was this? I watched the whole game and swear I don’t remember him ever getting in.

Big time win for the fellas. AO made some big timely shots tonight. We needed that from him. Hurt played really well also. I like how one game these guys don’t play and they never pout about it. They come out ready the next game and almost always make some big plays. Florida State is really good though.

Javin’s 2 made free throws were HUGE! We give him a lot of crap on here, but got to give him credit for those clutch makes.
He actually usually hits late game FTs. I felt oddly confident before he stepped to the line. I swear the man has some type of slight nerve issue affecting his coordination. Maybe he overcomes it by relying on scripted movements. He’s so intelligent and hard working, hard not to love the guy.

I’ve probably watched every post game press conference for at least the last 10 years and I rarely remember seeing him that outwardly excited about a win or glowing about a team. You can tell he’s really proud of what they accomplished this week.
My wife and I said the same thing. Coach was glowing in a way about his team. More giddy than I can remember in a long time.

What in the world is wrong with them? To claim they are college basketball, they sure love them some Duke threads. A lot of freaking idiots, which I called one yesterday in class. I wouldn't be upset if somebody quarantined that entire fan base.

I remember seeing retiredsoldier posting the press conference of Coach K, but here's the one from Coach Hamilton. Nothing but class from him. I also posted K's also for those that missed it from retiredsoldier.

Yep, count me among those who would be happy to not square off against FSU again this season. They are long, tough, and athletic at every position. Big win for us last night. Glad to see some guys step up and make it happen (Jordan, Matt, etc).

Next!!

It's their favorite narrative. And we aim to please!

At what point does it become like the Patriots, opponents are more concerned that something bad is going to happen against us than actually playing the game?

FSU just isn't a good matchup for us, and we still won, with 21 turnovers.

I thought the final basket that Goldwire scored, a TOUGH lay-up going sideways in the lane, was the biggest play of the game. Believe that gave us the lead at 1 and we never lost it again.

I hope our guys get some much needed rest today and tomorrow.

Thanks for the replay. I was thinking possibly a flop because when the FSU player was putting on his contact, I didn't see visible injury on his face. If Hurt actually did hit him, I'm assuming there would be a good size knot or a cut on his face.

yeah, think he got poked in the eye by his own teammate #4???????

I would say we see them again in the ACC tournament. If we want to win the ACC tournament, we are going to have to go more than likely through FSU, or Louisville again to do it. I’m sure Louisville and FSU are saying the same thing, that they don’t want to play Duke again either.

Didn’t get to watch the game until late last night because of a school board meeting. I actually managed to avoid my phone and social media.

FSU is really good and we were really tired. I honestly can’t recall the last time I saw K glowing so much over a win. He is so genuinely happy for this group.

We were sloppy, but made some huge shots/plays. Credit FSU....it’s really hard to run good offense against them.

Sleep and rest. That would be my recommendation today for the team.

Well he may get 20 next game and Goldwire may get 3. I read nothing into it. OFC

The more I watch Goldwire, the more impressed I am with his athleticism. The kid moves like water. Very impressive.

The fact that Hurt’s elbow was nowhere near hitting him AND the FSU player was literally crotch to crotch with Hurt makes this win so much better.

The FSU player just flopped his head back and the fers just didn't fall for it. Even Hamilton knew it. Reminds mef Zeller's phamtom clothesline when he looked like a spastic running through a spider web. The UK/unc cheater u crowd knows it too. They just want to whine about something. They are UK and tar heel fans. They can't help it . It's their nature. Bless their hearts. OFC

We are literally so far in their heads that they talk about our game on their radio show. Thought it was “KY sports” and not “Duke sports”.

It's a loser's mentality. Adopting a victim mentality before you've even stepped foot on the court is basically going into the game with 10 lb weights clamped around both of your ankles. It just slows you down.

It kills me most when blue bloods like UNC and UK do this. What logical sense does it even make that the refs and the media want Duke to win more than them? It's not like they're upstart mid majors!
