Well - super bummed about the Amile injury but we have to evoke the "next man up" mentality. It's frustrating not having some sort of timeline...

Anyway, gotta play Georgia Southern today. The Eagles are 3-4 and have been crushed by power five conferences. I'm expecting a laugher...

I will, however, predict that Ingram and Jeter step up their games tonight a get double-doubles.

The game is slated for a 7pm est tip and will air on ESPN2 HD.

We'll be a little rusty, and our first game without Amile, but hopefully it doesn't matter too much in this game.

Man, it's about time we got back to playing, I've been having a bout with the shakes and need a "fix"!!
Anyway, need Chase to have a good game tonight to boost his confidence, especially for Saturday against Utah, when he will really be needed. Really don't care to see Ingram at the "4", only because of how physical it can get. I still worry about him getting injured. He might be ok tonight, but against a bigger team, he could get hammered, and we don't need that.
So, that being said, Duke will win this one, once they adjust to a new lineup, so Chase, take advantage of your opportunity!!
Go Duke!!

Grayson with a JJ type shot. So far out they didn't guard him.

Wow.

I feel like Kennard is setting up too much on his shots, maybe over thinking. Just praying one goes through and it clicks.

I'm thinking that too I notice he looks like he might hesitate for a sec when he sets

I feel bad for Kennard. He's not throwing up bricks. They're in and out. Every time I kind of exhale because it's so close to going down.

Ingram and Kennard looking more mature. Chase and (oddly) Grayson playing like kids. I miss Amile already.

When talking about the Plumlee's...one of the announcers said "his 2 older brothers the twins are gainfully employed by the NBA" lol

Loving the aggressiveness on the boards by Ingram. He's working hard.

I feel like Kennard, Thornton, and Jeter are just trying to do a little too much. I love that they have that fire, they just need to calm down a bit.

I don't think Jeter will be the answer for Amile. Huge drop off!
He's got a long, long way to go.

With the exception of a lull there in the middle of the half, I thought our defense was quite good.

On the contrary, on the ball defense looked weak as well as help defense. I would like to seem some 1-3-1 zone mixed in.

Going to have to be patient fellas, lots of work to do. Amazing what losing one very important player does to the stability of a unit, but the kids are really playing hard and will have to work through this.
Imagine communication will be a big topic during halftime, along with getting a couple of guys to slow down and let the game come to them (Thornton, Jeter, Kennard). Really trying to do too much, too quickly.
They will be ok as the game wears on, this is just another experience in their young careers.
Go Duke!!
