Tyus was great but he had a wing man like Quinn to take the pressure off. We don't have either type player at the moment

Grayson has certainly been the negative difference so far. He will slow down in the 2nd half and hit some shots hopefully or you can stick a fork in us.

As bad as it has seemed. Duke is still in it. Grayson has been Kentucky's best player so far. If we can get him to be our best player in the second half, things will change.

Down 6 with zero points from Grayson and Ingram. Ingram hardly played and Allen was awful. They do anything the second half, Duke wins

Defensive transition is really bad...Play Thorton and let the leash off him...force UK to shoot and get back on transition D!!

It's quite simple, their freshmen are relaxed and playing naturally and ours don't seem to be in the moment yet. We've countered with experience, but they are more fluid. New game in second half. Hopefully Thornton builds off that last spurt.

I might even go Ingram at the four with Plumlee/Jefferson, Jones, Allen and Thornton or Kennard.

Kentucky is soft down low I think Ingram could hang and that would spread out their bigs and put four shooters on the court.

We would be much quicker defensively also.

Watching the game with my dad who is a massive Duke fan. Their guards are going to give anyone trouble, Ullis, Briscoe and Murray are having their way for the most part. Allen should try getting open and hitting a few jumpers, kid is rattled and forcing it but that will probably calm down after the half. If he hits a few jumpers should help with his confidence and they'll have to respect the drive a little more. You guys haven't played well and are only down 6, with your best scorer beong held to nothing. Should be a good second half.

Only down 6 based primarily on second chance points. If we can trust our offense, we can bring it back quickly.

So what is Coach K telling the team right now?

Sink off their guards just a bit and force them to hit shots rather than penetrate at ease. All 3 are good at driving and pretty strong (even Ullis at his size). You guys are better at rebounding down low so that's probably one thing he mentioned.

We have to get some offensive help besides Marshall and play better transition D.

Plumlee and Jefferson are reminding me of Lance Thomas and Zoubek. Both came on in 2010 in maturity. P & J really are playing like men out there. Gotta love that. They just have to not try to do more than they are capable.

Grayson Allen is SO incredibly bad this game, however, it's just terrible.

If we can get Ingraham and Thornton going offensively we can be pretty tough.

Don't think we'll win this game though. Would really like to see Kennard get some more shots and start hitting.

Got to get Kennard in the game he could shoot us back into it. At this point having Jefferson and Plumlee on the floor together is mute...our defense won't help this offense tonight.

The thing is, they are the only ones scoring.

Outside of Jefferson and Marshall, we really don't have the type of players to push a comeback. Our guard play is terrible.

Seems to be a recurring theme at the beginning of every season....cant stop guards penetrating...more zone needed although that wasnt that effective either in the first half.
