Will this be a big enough win to offset the loss earlier to stay in the top 25 or is Duke on the outside looking in

I actually thought of that too. It doesn't matter either way, but I'd like to see the streak continue. Plus, it would piss off UNC fans. Who doesn't like that?

Great win! I'm glad that most of our posters don't play, because they were writing this team off in the first half. I thought those two 3's from the top of key by Matt were huge! Did anyone catch Grayson's reaction when he hit that first one?

And for the guy that thinks losing with 7 or 8 is better than winning with 6, someone needs to cut you off on whatever beverage you're drinking.

Ok guys, belly up to the bar, ole' JC is buying!! Wine for my men and fresh horses, and if you happen to be drinking coffee or tea, ole' JC is buying that too!! Hot damn, I love these kids, and that was a gutsy 2nd half. Like I said earlier, and will always say, never, ever, give up!! That's what I call "reaching down deep".
Go Duke!!

Major win! Plum had a HUGE rebound, the type we hadn't got the previous 3 games. What can ya say about Allen and BI. Just complete studs.

Build from it and most of all learn from it!!!

From all that's been said and questioned thru this skid, it's not possible to question this young teams fight. That a very big positive! Find a way to win at Miami and were atleast back on level ground. This win is going to go SOOOOO far in that locker room.

I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off me. I hope its not just gas.

It's so much more fun when the shots fall isn't it? and Marshall is pretty amazing.

Marshall is a special player to use a phrase that Coach K has used a lot about a lot of Duke players. Being special to me is not always about great talent. It's about desire, heart. integrity and character. Whatever Marshall Plumlee does in life it will be special. OFC

Fellas there are two halfs !! So proud of the fight in the boys!!

I thought there was decent defense in the first half, just lights out by state.

The big difference in this game 100% was we not only survived the rebounding war but we won it. Man I love duke!

Rather lose with seven or eight than win with six? Now that is just plain ignorant. Dude smoke another one.

When theres a huge team win like this there are so many heroes well deserving of honors and recognition!!! I want to congratulate the ENTIRE TEAM for winning in an enviroment thats been so difficult to hit paydirt over the years. It could REALLY give these guys a HUGE BOOST, seeing how last year's bunch came up empty in Raleigh...

Lost in the glory today perhaps, but worth noting- DT's three!! Gave us a lead we never relinquished at 59-56!

^^^Great point, and even though he made some mistakes, plays too fast most of the time, and is just a Freshman, he has never backed off of taking a big shot! He is trying his best to play the toughest position on the floor, and I for one, really love this kid. He plays some pretty good defense too, and I have no doubt he will have an outstanding career at Duke!
Go Duke!!

Big win in a venue that hasn't been very kind to Duke of late. When NC St. hit 6 straight threes in the first half, many of them well contested, I was very worried. But they came back to Earth, Duke shot the ball well in the second half, and won the rebounding battle. On to the next one, which will be even tougher.

I think you can sense the relief in that interview with Grayson. One thing for a young team is confidence. Clearly, the confidence had been shaken over the last three games....as it should. That said, all three of those losses were winnable games in the final couple minutes. Last year, a national championship team, faced some of the same adversities. They responded. I'm not saying this team is capable of something similar, but they're capable of being very good. They needed this win today. Next!

I'm going to cut him a little slack after my definitive call around halftime that we were not going to win and @Miami would be a likely 5th loss in a row.

It's easy to start focusing on long-term plans when the present looks grim. It was a dumb thing to say, but we've all been there.
