This game is Exhibit A for why Mark Gottfried is a mediocrity. What's the plan on offense here? Take turns trying to go one-on-one (vs a zone)? Have crappy shooters jack up off-balance 22 footers? They look awful.

Don't get me wrong, the guy is awesome on offense, but I'm curious how well he would do against our frontline. I think UK could get some points in transition with Towns/WCS with his slow *** jogging back on D.

Kentucky has been mentioned so many times already during this game. It must drive opposing fans insane.


We need to have a "Kentucky Tracker" and tally up how many times Kentucky is mentioned during telecasts that don't even feature us.

Too bad Bilas and Greenberg aren't on the selection committee. Talking about how it's be an injustice if Wisconsin were a 2 seed.

Duke's offense looks absolutely unstoppable at times. They're sitting at about 1.9 points per possession with 3.5 minutes left in the first half.

Too bad Duke can't stop anyone with a good offense.

And it won't look unstoppable against a good to great defensive team IMO.

they put up 69pts on 51% shooting against UVA

shot 49% against UofL, too

The problem is 69 points will be about a 15 point loss to this UK team. UVA and UL are not exactly offensive juggernauts.

Duke can beat anyone if you let them shoot uncontested 3s. If you keep them to 6 3s or fewer, they are very beatable by the top teams. I don't think this is a Lehigh or Mercer year for them. Would be very surprised if they don't make the FF. Not gonna lie either, if we meet them in the title game, I may be too nervous to watch. Losing to UConn was bad, but I just couldn't take watching Puke win it all against us. And yes, I know they have even more reason to be nervous about us, but I'm just saying if we don't play well, they are one of the few teams that can hurt us.

These comments are why I fully admit to have been not minding Duke winning all these games since they lost to ND...go ahead boys, get that #2 or #3 one seed. I don't mind at all...not at all. We are going to get stuck with either Wisconsin or UVA on our side most likely though, but if the other is on Duke's side...big win for UK...especially if the one on our side is out west with Zona and not our 2.

That looks to not happen though, but oh well.

Duke lays a whompin on the Sack er Pack. Gottfried lays another egg in the post season. Notre Dame and Miami up next, would love to see a Duke-Irish matchup.

Yeah, cause the last Duke-Irish game was so great. I won't predict anywhere close that margin, but Duke would win again by double digits IMO. Miami's star guard is supposed to be out tonight so I doubt they have much chance against ND.
