Is it just me or does anyone feel like Duke didn't play with a lot of heart like they have been playing here lately? Dissappointed about the loss, but moving on to Wake Forest and the big home showdown with the cheaters! That would be awesome for another regular season sweep of them again!
We seem to get blown out once every year but no big deal. I hope the team works on putting a body on somebody instead of watching the other team rebound until they make. Golden State couldn't beat Pitt rebounding like that.
We still don't know Bolden's decision yet! That will be a big factor in Coach K's rotation next year if he decides to commit to Duke( keeping my fingers crossed that he does). If Amile were to get medically redshirted this year and come back next year, I feel like we won't get Bolden, but if Amille comes back, that will be great too!
Next year Coach K will have Giles, Jeter, Gavin Obi Vrank and Robinson at his disposal. I would like to see him use at 4-5 of these guys. Give them a few minutes of playing time.
Someone give me a break down on Gavin? I don't go by high school youtube highlights because I can remember getting Lance Thomas and thinking he was going to be a scoring big. I remember people saying that Hairston was going to be a really good scoring big. I watched highlights of Amile and thought he would look like Brice Johnson offensively. Will Gavin be the same or will he be a really good asset for Duke.

I honestly see no realistic possibility of Vrank being on the team next year.. If he & Obi are getting 0 minutes a game with Plumlee & Jeter being the only bigs ahead of them.. I can't imagine him staying next year, when their will be more bigs, and possibly Amile coming back.. At the very least, Vrank will redshirt.
He's a 3 star recruit who knew what to expect. Not everyone has to come in and be a star

The fact that we never led or came within 5 points, makes this loss easier to handle.

We burned his redshirt almost deliberately this season, playing him for one minute in the season opener. He didn't play again until the Capel-coached game at GT. If we were going to redshirt him preemptively, it would have been this year, when he is furthest from the possibility of contributing beyond practice. Maybe we would redshirt him if we have a particularly deep, solid post rotation, but I doubt it.
As someone else said, he's a 3-star recruit. He's a big practice body who might develop into a rotation player down the line. He knows this wasn't going to be his year.
