Sorry - short and sweet this time because I’m off to my daughter‘s basketball game.

Don’t let Ponds have his way with us like he did last year, and we win.

Duke is a -17.5 favorite at home today and considering how often we’ve covered lately, I like it. We all know how well documented our last non-conference home was to these guys almost 20 years ago, and the streak will continue.

Today’s game is slated for a 12pm est tip and will air on ESPN HD.

I expect the game to be close early on and Duke runs away late. It’s not going to be easy and St. John’s has the athletes to put up a good fight.

My Dad and I will be at the game today! Can’t wait to see Zion in person.

Side story- back in 2014 I met a person on these forums that gave me free tickets to see a Duke game. It was my first time going to see a game in person at Duke. The person has since sent me tickets every year and every year we go to the game as a sort of tradition and have a great time together, my Dad and I. The person that sends the tickets is one heck of a kind guy that I’ve never met. I’ve offered to pay for the tickets and he refuses every year. Never underestimate the kindnest of others.

Duke wins bc every year my Dad and I bring that extra luck to Cameron Indoor and this year is no different! Go Duke!

St Johns will be ready, this is their biggest game this year. Ponds-Jones matchup is gonna be high-level stuff. Defense wins championships.................and today's game.

Morning. I went to St. John's, back in the Jason Williams/Boo Harvey days. I saw Harvey do stuff with the ball I can't even describe. If he hadn't hurt his knee he would have played in the NBA I believe. Usually this game worries me but Duke has Zion. Duke 88, SJU 79. SJU will not roll over for us. And yes my friends give me grief for cheering for Duke.

Mullin turned down K back in the day to attend St.John's so today is the day he gets that *** kicking for what he did back in the 80s lol

St. Johns is a good basketball team, and they are very athletic. Here's to hoping that Tre can stay out of foul trouble guarding Ponds. I think they will start out giving us fits, but once this team gets adjusted to their style, Duke will show what it means to be really athletic, and win going away!

Early start times are more difficult for h home team, per K. St. John's is motivated since Ponds called his team out after the Gtown loss last weekend. Duke needs to come out strong and continue strong. This is another emotional readiness test like Gonzaga. Go Duke

St.Johns has always seemed to give Duke fits! I think it’s a close game early, but Duke pulls away late to win by double digits.

Noon start times almost always lead to ugly games. Hate them. That said I think the noncon streak continues with a 77-60 Duke win.

I think Duke can blow the Johnnies out at Cameron...but it wouldn't surprise me if they hang around. Need to put them out of their misery early.

If Duke misses 3’s they’ll win by 10-15, if Duke makes 3’s they’ll win by 20+. If Duke gives a mild effort which we haven’t seen yet, it will be close.
