Dickie V doesn't give tre enough credit for his Defense on Ponds. There is a reason he has played a below average game, and that reason is tre.

And his foot work from a early age playing soccer lol. Deadly combination of a human wearing that Duke uniform.

Dick Vitale can be excruciatingly annoying, but his heart and generosity to what he does for kids who have cancer overrides that! He just loves the game of basketball so much(and baseball) he gets very excited talking about those sports, which leads to him going off on crazy annoying tangents!
I bought a raffle ticket for a Mercedes for his cancer research fundraiser due to him talking about it during a game. He can definitely get annoying during a game. He has a huge heart and is very passionate about sports and cancer research.

Hey, St. Johns, I think the next time you play Duke, and you want to beat them, try intimidating them, maybe that will work for you?! And as a side note, push Zion around, he might fold under the pressure. :)
Go Duke!

That wasn't the under 4 timeout. There's 4:02 left. That was the, our best player just missed horribly on a wide open dunk attempt and we need to save some face, timeout.

The rules have changed on TV timeouts. First, no under. If there is a deadball exactly at 4 (assuming no second part of this answer), it is a media timeout. However, if a timeout is called within 30 seconds of a scheduled media, the team is still charged a timeout but it is elongated to a media. So Duke called a timeout at 4:02, it should have been a media.

This defense just wears teams down. And once down we are relentless. Tre put Ponds in his back pocket, took him completely out of the game.

Almost seems like the worst thing that can happen for this team is getting off to a hot start from 3. Just gives us an excuse to fire away for far too long after. This offense is so damn good when we attack. Another great performance from this group.

Man oh man this team is good and fun to watch. They play so hard on defense. It’s beautiful to watch. One thing Tre said earlier this week about the perimeter shooting is starting to make sense. He said they use so much energy on defense that it maybe effect their shot on the other end. The team is getting more comfortable. We made it through January so it’s time to really take off. In February we always look unbeatable

Oh yea WE NEED TRE BACK NEXT YEAR. Please come back and help us Tre. He will be a dominant player next year. He took over scoring his last few possessions in the game. That mid range game is impressive. Spotting up is not his game yet. He’s not elevating on his spot up shots but in the mid range when he can elevate he looks good

Our February schedule is absolutely brutal. We get through this month, we’ll be more than battle tested. Looks like we might be hitting our stride. Rest of the country take heed.

We lose one game at the most. Defense travels on the road plus I don’t see Zion being stopped. Plus he and Cam have been staying out of foul trouble so they can play more minutes. We’re in great shape

oh I didn't know that, but I really like that though. I always thought it was ridiculous that you'd call a timeout, play for like 7 seconds then half another one falling a dead ball.
