Just a little pre-turkey day, pre ACC/Big Ten Challenge tuneup against the Lumberjacks.

Don’t know a whole lot about them outside of their 4-1 overall record and best win coming against Drexel, and only loss a 12-pointer against the powerhouse that is Rutgers.

Tonight’s game will tip at 9pm est and will air on The ACC Network (Extra). Currently Duke sits at a -29 favorite which again feels a bit high to me, but we keep covering.

Tonight, however, I’m going to take us to cover (which means we won’t, bettors).

Duke - 88

Stephen F Austin - 56

GO DUKE!!!!!!!!

It’ll be interesting to see how Duke handles the press. SFA isn’t the same old tournament killing SFA, so we’ll see. I don’t see this one being fast paced but I can’t be trusted with my score predictions lately haha.

Duke - 73
SFA - 61

Hopefully, the next to games can be good confidence boosters shooting wise for Matt, Jack, Baker, and Alex.

They don’t start anyone over 6’7 so that’s gonna be a problem.

They do have a very good guard that’s bigger - Kevon Harris listed at 6’6 and avg almost 20ppg and 6 boards per game but we will clamp down on him I’m sure.

I don't know much about Stephen F. Austin myself, but here is what I found:

Known as the "Father of Texas," and the founder of Texas, Stephen F. Austin led the second, and ultimately, the successful colonization of the region by bringing 300 families from the United States to the region in 1825. Born in Virginia and raised in southeastern Missouri, Austin served in the Missouri territorial legislature before moving to Arkansas Territory and later Louisiana. His father, Moses Austin, received an empresario grant from Spain to settle Texas. After Moses Austin's death in 1821, Stephen Austin won recognition of the empresario grant from the newly independent state of Mexico. Austin convinced numerous American settlers to move to Texas, and by 1825 Austin had brought the first 300 American families into the territory. Throughout the 1820s, Austin sought to maintain good relations with the Mexican government, and he helped suppress the Fredonian Rebellion. He also helped ensure the introduction of slavery into Texas despite the attempts of the Mexican government to ban the institution. He led the initial actions against the Karankawa people in this area.

Based on this scouting report, I think its safe to say we get close to triple digits tonight: 94-62

It will still be close by the second media timeout, and at some point late in the first half you will look up and Duke will be up 16 or so. Another double-double for big Vern.

All the guys know that Hurt struggled last game and make a big effort to get him going. He starts strong and others get going later...

Should be another opportunity for "Big Vernon" and a double-double. I also think Hurt is going to make his presence felt. Should be 4-5 guys in double digits, and Duke wins big.

Go Duke!

I hate you ACCN and Comcast! And your stupid little ACCNX that I can’t get through my parents AT&T U-verse account.

I'm with you. They have been very disappointing so far. Missed the start of one game and the whole 1st half of another game because a volleyball game went on for about 3 hours. I really don't know what can be done about it or even who to take our concerns to. I think we were sold a swamp.OFC

Another game where our Debbie Downers can't make an appearance tonight. Darn.
Show, you better believe they are lurking in the dark just waiting for the moment to pounce on something. I hope the guys give good high fives during timeouts. I'm looking for fingers to be fully extended and joined in the process.
