I don’t consider it blind faith to assume that the better and more talented team will win, even when they are down 13. There is a difference between being outplayed in stretches and being outmatched. UNC is old, experienced and really really good, they may be the 2nd best team in the country. You can talk about some ‘eye test’ all you want but look at the numbers and the results and you can’t really argue UNC is the better team.
I'm happy knowing they all don't have to have a great game to win a big game against an excellent opponent. That's what I take away.
Me too. That was actually a great timeout by Roy. RJ was in the zone and would’ve torched those 2fts if he could’ve shot them right away. Can’t believe Roy almost won them a game calling a timeout!?
For the record, we played awful from about the 8 minute mark to the last couple of minutes. We easily could have lost this game. But we didn’t. And the more we get back to playing together with the full gang (minus Ques) we are going to get better.
We had a ton of correctable moments throughout, but we have so much damn talent. And we win.

You do realize Zion did not play the first two times we played, right?
The scary part (for opposing teams) is that Duke still isn’t 100%. To top it off, all 4 freshman haven’t played to their potential at the same time since December.

Maye had mostly garbage man points. With Duke playing tough on 3pointers he needed to step up. Except for that one drive where he surprised Zion he just passed it away. Knew he would get stuffed.

Playing a backcourt of he and Tre together completely changed the game.

I played as well, and you can absolutely be gassed—especially in a huge game. I’m not claiming it the game yesterday. The pace in the first ten minutes was insane, and the pace the rest of the game was high.
We started walking the ball up in the second half to steal 10 seconds of rest.

Just happy tomorrow won't be the worst day of my year so far, now that we won. Hard fought game. Neither team played their best, but that's "The Rivalry". We got one on 'em. Zion is our savior.
