Duke vs UNC

Do any of yall remember the first Duke/UNC game that was on ESPN2? I didn't get the channel at that time and they were really trying to push it so (as it was a recent launch) they put that game on there. I went to my local hospital and went to the xray waiting room to watch. Just can't remember what year that was. Guessing somewhere between '95 to '98. Thanks.

Exactly how I remember it. The Capel/Stackhouse game was the first on ESPN2. People weren't happy because it was a ploy to force subscribing to espn2.

Yep! That was it thanks guys. I thought it was the Capel game but was doubting myself. And yes, I was one of those that were not happy about it but found a way to watch. How far we've come in 25 years! Now we can watch any team, any game on our "phone".

That switcheroo pissed me off too. Don't like being manipulated like that. Forced me to go to a bar and watch the game, drink beers, and get a bar pie. Them there are some serious coping skills.

We have SIX and have replaced two HOF coaches - real question is what happens after K retires? That's new territory for you guys.

Let's not forget their fans. I have this memory of Grayson Allen taking the ball out of bounds at the Nose Dome and this typical Tar Heel fan, a woman in her 50s or 60s, with the fake blonde hair and her baby blue clothes, running down the aisle to scream at him. Classy lady right there! Grayson just had this bemused smile on his face.

Seriously, if I went on your forum and started saying how we were better, how would that go for me? Would they take things too seriously as well? Because you are basically doing that, and then telling people to lighten up.
