I know this is a different team but if Duke can come back from 10 within a minute, I feel confident we can come back from 4

Yea to many point blank misses. Showed some serious fight tho. We can win plenty but we have minimal room for error/ bad luck.

The one thing I take from this loss is hopi g this was Kennards turning point game, and that maybe they practice free throws and lay ups

I missed this first half of the game because I was still sleeping after going out for my birthday last night but after watching the second half and overtime I lost count of how many lay ups we missed

Nice win by Utah. Our young guys played young for the most part. Once the freshmen figure out how to be ready at the tip, we'll be better. Coach K and staff have to figure out a better way to use Plum/Jeter. Let's go Duke!

Been a few years since we've talked of tired legs..... May become reality by the looks of it.

Well several times they could have completely folded and lost big, at least they kept fighting, get christmas out of the way, get some good news for Amile, and maybe the ACC slate won't be too bad

A loss is always going to cause panic, but I think it's premature to say we're going to be tired all season. We're fresh off losing our best big (maybe for a long time), our best player was clearly sick, and some guys are being asked to play additional minutes. On top of all of that, I think everyone with a half a brain knew this season was going to present challenges at times.

Besides missing a few too many around the basket and Utah controlling the glass in stretches, I didn't think we were that bad. We didn't turn it over. For the most part, we got what we wanted offensively too. We just expended a lot of energy after falling behind by nine.

And while I think even Marshall would say today wasn't very good today, I will say this....he misses Amile more than anybody.

We're going to lose more games this season. But we should have knew that before today. Just try and enjoy the season while we watch these guys improve.

We lost today because of 5 or 6 simple things. We don't have an Amile replacement and have a limited bench, did not shoot free throws well except for Luke, shot fg's poorly, foolishly kept driving to the basket where had at least 5 shots blocked by their big who we had no answer for, Allen was sick or not himself and tried to do too much. Other than that we played ok I guess.

MP3 is a senior and while he doesnt have the talent/finesse of his brothers, he MUST play smarter. By this I mean at least play back near the basket and stop venturing out in perimeter so much. His fouling is even mor magnified w/o Amile now, and he has to adjust. We must have him score more pts than fouls committed...

I am not laying the loss at Marshall's feet but feel a better performance by him today minus AJ and an ill Grayson nets a win...

Defense has to rotate too. Marshall didn't play well, he'll tell you that....but Brandon was lost on the bottom of the zone.

Part of what makes Marshall the player he is, is that he plays aggressive. He has to dial it back a bit now because we need his size....so some of those "good" plays by Marshall are going to be missed.

Marshall has improved tenfold over his Freshman and Soph years and we all knew he was not another Mason.

Hard to fault Brandon for myself on the defensive end, per his youth in K's system......Marshall as an underclassman should be able to adjust easier..

Bottom line in my opinion is Tyler isn't ready. He is weak at the basket. We can't beat top teams with him at the point. I know people will say he's young and I get it. But he's not a top young pg in my opinion.

I think this season has shown a couple of flaws to our roster management. Would have loved to have seen Gbinije get enough minutes early on so his good junior and excellent senior seasons were spent at Duke instead of Syracuse. With recruiting, we identify very early our top candidates and focus only on them. The downside is when you have guys leave unexpectedly (like this past year, when we had to scramble for a PG), or when the recruits don't develop over their junior / senior high school season (like Jeter, who went from top 10ish as a junior to 20ish as a senior), we haven't cultivated other options. We've seen at least 3 years in the past 6 where lack of depth has meant even a single injury hurts us a lot.

Not sure how anybody is complaining about DERRYCK. It was an all around team loss. Not even a bad loss, especially considering the other variables. The guards rebounded well for a stretch, gonna need that for 40 mins
