The positive hope re: the Grayson trouble and problems is that if he comes back with a combination of humility and hard work - which really is what every great athlete needs and has to a degree - then he can show the team an even better example than before. Often, it's how someone comes back from and deals with exceptional adversity that brings out an even greater message to those around them.
And, that message would be very good for the team as a whole, as they also, as a unit, are dealing with adversity; as well as a message for all the freshmen but especially players like Giles and Bolden. They have to be struggling some with their confidence and with the adversity of not playing a great deal, not having the big impact they expected to as freshmen, etc.
As the old saying goes, "expectations lead to frustration." One big key in that regard is - as I've heard K emphasize before and as I think these young guys need - is that what matters is not the past game but the next practice. And, of course, within that concept, K's famous, "Next play" mentality. Giles and the freshmen, as well as the entire team, need to focus on each possession in each practice. Just getting better each play in practice. As they center on that and if Grayson can contribute to that - they will really improve.
It's just going to be a lot of hard work and effort. Don't shrink back in disappointment or the confidence loss (that's easy to do at any level; at any age! I know ...). But, press on and work harder.
