I will gladly eat crow, but this team is a mess and this season is a bust. Time to clean out the lockers and move on. Never once in my Duke fandom have I ever wanted to see the end of a season, but this season is changing that for me.

I HATE our defensive philosophy in it's entirety. WHY pressure the ball 37 feet from the basket? Why high hedge on pick and rolls? If they beat you by hoisting 54 3PM, sobeit...but layups are not ok!

No one to blame here. It's every single person, from the coaches to the walk ons. I've never seen a team regress this much and act like that don't seem to care. There's no emotion. I'd like to see someone get pissed off and show some fight. Pathetic.

I would honestly rather play our worst 5 players he entirw 2nd half than who is playing right now. They don't have the same talent but that is okay with me. I am very confident they would give more effort than this.

I have been so so wrong with how I thought game would go. Our defense is terrible, there's more enjoyment watching paint dry.

God please give us Marshall and Brandon Ingram back. Those guys actually played with guts.

Team plays defense standing straight up, no talk or effort. They literally do not understand how to play zone. We triple team the ball.

Grayson stared at Wake player in corner with ball & didn't even attempt to contest the shot. This was huge sign players don't care.

Is Effort a care to this team? They are all future pros they just like being on national television every week they could careless about Duke or K or anything except themselves.

Not the reaction i was thinking we would see. Commentators are spot on with the poor defense and OAD issues. Its amazing that such talent cannot somehow show up and play collectively - it proves my favorite coaching saying - Hard work beats talent if talent doesnt work hard - so true for this team

Is Jeter still hurt? If not at least he would try to play defense around the basket.
Bench Matt Jones and play Jack White.

Grayson, Matt, Luke are a combined 4-19 shooting, but it's the freshmen's fault to most posters here. It's the whole damn team.

This team is just LOST. No rhythm on O. Absolutely no D. Again, how many easy layups did we give up in the first half? Jeez, just stay in a zone.

Remember that thread about this team being done, and how so many people said it wasn't?

It looks like this team is done. I know that some people like this belief that "Well, a team can turn it all around!" but in reality, no, teams really usually cannot. No amount of coaching can give a team that instinct, that fight, that chemistry.

We just look terrible. And it sucks:(

I'm not freaking kidding out Vrank and Javin in and just let them develop. We might suck but I really believe those two will at least TRY.

The (extreme) hedging has bugged me for a couple years.. you can do it with a player like Amile.. but when we do it with our 5's (Bolden, MP3, Z, etc.) it drives me insane.

I'm starting to agree. I was of the belief the list on Monday and subsequent meeting with K would give this team a boost. It did nothing.

I'm not kidding if capel wants to keep respect, put vrank, javin and white in. I'll take losing just to see this.
