What was it that announcer said. hof coach roy williams said something about little being the most athlectic player hes ever beend associated with? OFC
Yea! Lol, but there he is sitting on the bench. The most athletic player you have been around is not going to keep the bench warm most likely.

So Duke went on the Road. Do you think that one sportswriter guy will now put us in his top 10? Or will he need to see a bit more of us in the dozen or so True Road Games we have in conference? Do road games even count if they're in conference? These are questions I need answered

Only if that team is ranked in the top 10......if you're Duke

Well, he said as soon as Duke played a true road game, but as you know Neners, when it comes to Duke...the bar keeps moving. We'll see soon enough.

I sure did! And I sure do! Tented and everything. Nothing bonds freshman together more than riding the C-1 over from east to west in about 10 layers of clothing to trek all the way across west campus over to Kville for the night! The 2 am tent checks....the debauchery that is personal checks at the very end of tenting....And then there are those smaller games - no tents, just students sleeping on the sidewalk overnight like it's no big deal. I remember seeing Steph Curry play, my freshman or sophomore year, I believe it was. I remember burning west campus benches after 82-50, then making it to the championship and watching them drag over the benches from east because they knew they had to give us SOMETHING to burn. My dorm was first floor main quad on west (Kilgo dormitory) and I could watch the bonfire from my window. And I did summer school the summer of 2010 and used to see Kyrie zooming around campus on his bike. One of my friends played beer pong with Singler once. Just a great, great place.

Jack is this team’s Quinn Cook and Javin is this team’s Amile Jefferson. Need O’Connell to be this team’s Matt Jones.

This team is a joy to watch. Barrett with the sneaky 7 assist to go with 21. And regardless of some bad plays by Cam, maybe his 10 points tonight will get him going. This team is truly loaded with a nasty defense to go right along with all that talent. Here Comes Duke is for real this year!

Don’t let the final
Score fool you. Just like against Clemson, it was about to be a 30 point game and K called off the dogs. Puts in the backups the last 6 minutes

Rarely do I have to work into the late evening hours at the office. Tonight was one of those nights. Had to be on the night Duke plays and NCSU vs UNCheaters play. I think I have a basis to ask for a raise tomorrow. :D

Nice win and Manning has to be on hot seat with 7 losses on 1/8.

Love how we overplay the passing lanes, havent seen that in few years.

I don't remember now. My freshman year, I believe we were 30-something. Sophomore year was higher because we only did white tenting instead of blue tenting. Ironically, we got better spots white tenting than blue tenting. I also remember when halftime started during the Duke/UNC game, you had to make sure you dropped immediately to sit in the student section because there was so little room that otherwise you'd get stuck standing through halftime lol

No one wants this job.

Skip Prosser did, and the late Deacon & Xavier coach was building a program. Skip had the "It" intangible and knew his Xs and Os. His unfortunate death robbed Wake fans of watching potentially one of the best coaches in the ACC further elevate their program to greater heights.

Since Skip's untimely passing the Wake program continues to plummet downhill. Manning's obviously overmatched coaching in the ACC, and Randolph Childress at his side isnt much help. Just proves great players DO NOT ALWAYS MAKE great coaches.

Yeah, that hurt in more ways than one. Prosser was an excellent coach and would have continued a nice legacy there. Gaudio was able to work off of what Prosser built, but when he was on his own, it was over. They’ll need to put some money towards athletics in general at Wake if they want to make any progress.

Prosser had two really good seasons at Wake....he won national recruiting battles for Chris Paul and Eric Williams that kind of put Wake on the map. His last two season's in Winston-Salem were forgettable, going 5-11 and 3-13 in conference play, however, he had some really good recruits coming in who stayed committed after his untimely death.

I don't think the Wake job is horrible, either. I also don't think it's a job where you're going to consistently win. You're going to have to win in small sequences where you get a class or two to build around. Then there's going to be the years where you're just not very good. People discredit how good Duke and UNC always are, and when I say always, I mean always. Our bad years are going 11-7, with outliers like 1995 and 2010 the rarest of occurrences. The ACC is hardest conference in America to consistently win games in, because you know that Duke and UNC are who they are. It's part of what makes what Tony Bennett has done all the more impressive.

I thought that this was a really good game for Cam. Still had a few unforced errors, but looked to be playing smarter over all, especially when he attacked the basket.

Jack White is an angry wallaby.

RJ was really great in my opinion. I thought he took smart shots and really did well as a distributor. I think it is clicking that he draws a lot of attention and that he can be a great decoy for others.

That being said, it's amazing to see the assist numbers from last night. I like the unselfishness.

The thing I liked the most were all those dump in passes to Zion for easy buckets in the second half. Great communication, and as others have said, unselfish basketball!

Gosh when we get some consistent 3 point shooting, and it's coming, look out.

No one wants that job NOW. When Prosser took it, and immediately after his untimely death, it was a decent enough job. Duke and UNC are rolling, with no signs of slowing down for the immediate future. NCSU looks like a good hire with Keats, but I'm not sure how long he'll stay. VT is rolling, and they are incredibly close geographically.
.
WFU can be a "decent team" in the ACC. Their fans don't know why they can't be a top 4 ACC team every year. We talk about how NCSU has unrealistic expectations, and they do, because they think the should be a perennial national title threat. WFU thinks they should be a yearly threat to win the ACC, and that is pretty delusional now. Their really is no history to justify their expectations. There isn't enough local talent, that is loyal to WFU, to prop up their program.
.
They want a "quick fix" to get back to relevance. They don't seem to realize that they are looking down the barrel of decade long rebuild. Manning obviously envisioned this job as a quick pit stop on his way up the ladder of coaching jobs, and now that he's realized that it won't happen, he's seemingly checked out.
.
WFU is adhering to that old sawhorse about not jumping until they know where they are going to land. Like I said, IDK who wants the job, so WFU is hesitant to fire Manning. He isn't great, but they might not be able to obtain an upgrade. At least, not at a price they are willing to pay.

An ACC job always looks like a step up to SOME coaches. I disagree w/your take "no one wants that job NOW." Sure its not the job it once was, but K and RoyKnew cannot coach forever. Keats has Pack on definite upswing, but I would say jury still out in Raleigh-still awful early.....OFC

I love this team because they’re so different from recent Duke teams. The trash talking that the top players do is beautiful. I love it. You can clearly see they’re letting the opponents know that “I own you”. I think Cam thrives when people start talking to him and he gets mad. I think he’s on of those “if you make me mad, ill embarrass you” type players. Outside of that he’s just chill and play. Can someone please awaken the beast
