Wonder if other ACC teams will follow suit? Will the men's team as well?
Probably the best Perspective.Right now I'm preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. You gotta have hope. OFC
After the bomb dropped at the ACC Tourney last season, nothing will shock me over a decision.

Two seasons without a Duke postseason or an NCAA tournament would be devastating from a fan's perspective and monetarily as well. However, health and safety of the players/staff is paramount here in the end. But as Sky said, prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
It’s the right choice and a difficult decision to make. I applaud Lawson and the program for putting the players first and we don’t know but like pointed out by blu you just don’t know the lasting effect.
Right after my daughter quarantine for the 14 days never had any symptoms of even a cold and had two negative test results after. She began having chest pains really bad to the point we had to put her on inflammatory medicine.
I completely agree, it’s about money this year, same as with football.I suspect the men's season will continue off and on like it is now, and in March each conference will make up new rules for its tournament (like the Big 10 did for Ohio State) in order to maximize the conference's chances in the NCAA tournament, like give a border line tournament team an easy first round game. So this season which feels like a pickup league will continue in the same vein. Men's BB just trying to get through the season.
I doubt that this will lead to a cascade of unnecessarily labelled pandemics. Hopefully we will have a better playbook to deal with things quickly in the future should the need arise. There is also a lot of money and jobs lost and so incentive to find another way to deal with things. The flu has been around for years and it can be pretty awful yet we have not closed down for that. K acknowledged how devastating it would be to lost consecutive NCAA tournaments. He is not advocating cancelling just pausing to evaluate.Sad thing is this could be the new norm. If they do cancel the season again it will only be easier in the future for any virus that gets labeled as a pandemic and it will be easier to label any virus as a pandemic. Unfortunately Coach K seems to try and be a pioneer of this new movement or whatever we are in now so it will not surprise me if he cancels the season as well. He was one of the first last year,,, so don’t be surprised. I certainly hope not. Life is getting depressing and the way our society is moving it will only get worse.
The team canceled the season, not Kara.I feel like if you had one coach cancel their season, it makes every other coach at that school look kind of bad for not following suit.

I think the next month is going to get crazy. I tested positive yesterday and I have been carefulAm I'm betting they won't be the last...men or womens teams
