in overtime against lowly Wake. Remember they lost to middling Clemson and also got waxed by 22 a week ago to NC State

Lunardi was tweeting today that if SDSt loses again, Duke is the replacement in that one spot. This is absurd. They have remained on the 2 line despite some bad losses and not even being the best in the conference. They also have Quad 3 loss to SF Austin which should eliminate them from the one or two seeds..how can they be rated over Maryland

Praying they lose but it will not even matter as it appears their seeding is set in stone

I honestly thought they tanked last week at NC State to allow them to get inside the bubble so the lowly ACC this year can get 5 teams. Okay lose in an upset by a few points to a desperate NC State team but to lose by 22. Has never happened before. Maybe tanking.

RU has 6 wins vs tourney teams

Duke has a whopping 3 wins vs projected NCAA tourney teams.....Kansas, Michigan State and Florida State...only one win in ACC play vs a tourney team..wow

Agreed . I do not think they are that good and got some super human efforts from Tre Jones to bail them out . There defense has been terrible down the stretch . I really think Louisville is not that good either. Those ACC teams lose and still get projected as a 2 or 3 . Think they both go out before Sweet Sixteen. Florida State is the class of the league and they deserve a 2 seed .

Actually Duke is too young this year-- 1 Jr 2 So and 4 Fr.
That's why they haven't been as consistent lately on the road in the ACC this year. I know 7-3(started 4-0) is really good on the road, but we have 0 top 100 players and don't buy players to our team.

Last 6 ACC road games 3-3.
W 67 Cuse 150 BC 96 UNC
L 53 NC St. 76 Clemson 109 Wake Forest
You don't see these kind of losses from Duke.

Sadly seeing this Duke team isn't "all that" just reminds me of how long "rat face" has kept them at the top. It is impressive.

yeah...Dook will always get the bonus treatment.

I bet some national pundits even have UNC in the big dance not even knowing they're having a miserable season.

Perceived elite programs have a unfair advantage in polls,NCAA seeding and most importantly in recruiting.

I am leery on burying Duke because I cant imagine they watch tape of BC, Wake and somehow wonder how they're going to be challenged. But the double standard is clear and the NCAA needs a villain who you either love or hate and Duke provides that.

Duke was fun last year, they had Zion, RJ Barrett and still somehow lost to Sparty in Washington DC, which is still ACC territory.

Watching them lose at MSG as a 2 seed (if they get there), will be fun.

Humor? The posts upon posts upon posts about how it's a conspiracy that Butler is ranked above us and "teams from the ACC lose and it doesn't matter" and myriad other conspiracy-lite stuff about how we're being ****** somehow were jokes???

Yeah sorry you couldn’t parse thru it. Butler issue is separate as they have lost 8-12 from January 10 forward and they do not deserve a 6 seed. John Gasaway on the ESPN Bubble watch article said if they are not a good team presently and all bracket slotting higher are off the table now. So someone else is seeing it. Never said it was a conspiracy just discussing with BAC about why Butler was so high up.
