Looks like they are now done.Idiots for going back to campus daily.Seems so obvious with the issues on their football team.

Yeah, like somehow it impacted them more than anyone else. This is the best thing to happen to them. Now instead of saying they didnt make the tournament becasue they sucked they will say it was covid. I just get a laugh out of people blaming their poor performance this year on covid, meanwhile rutgers is having one of it best year's ever......
Maybe the key to rutgers basketball success is covidThis is the best thing to happen to them. Now instead of saying they didnt make the tournament becasue they sucked they will say it was covid. Yes and we can thank murphy for keeping the covid spread low thanks to great policies! As a result , rutgers football and basketball were able to complete full successful seasons . No arguing that facts that both teams had their best season in years !its interesting that schools who are used to treating players like rock starts are the ones struggling the most...Kentucky, Duke, UNC although they recovered. There may be something to that and their looseness in general and now with things restricted their players have not adapted to a new environment.
I truly believe some schools better than others at handing restrictions.
Zero doubt. I add teams to that sentence. It is a combination of the school and the the team itself as a unit to do the right things to be safe.I truly believe some schools better than others at handing restrictions.
luck is involved and as for RU football many of its players got the virus before season started-heck my grandson's entire fraternity at RU had it in early September-by the way athlete's on various RU teams, I won't say which, attended parties at his house in SeptemberZero doubt. I add teams to that sentence. It is a combination of the school and the the team itself as a unit to do the right things to be safe.
it isn’t easy
That's an interesting thought and I would not doubt it. I also felt the presence of resources for testing, etc. or lack thereof would have an impact. But lack of resources clearly isn't an issue at places like Duke or Kentucky.its interesting that schools who are used to treating players like rock starts are the ones struggling the most...Kentucky, Duke, UNC although they recovered. There may be something to that and their looseness in general and now with things restricted their players have not adapted to a new environment.

What did you expect? The memories of Jason, Dahntay and Uncle Monty still burn here like eternal flames.Wow. Tough Crowd! No Duke fan here but...
Is uncle monty related to lance Thomas? What did you expect? The memories of Jason, Dahntay and Uncle Monty still burn here like eternal flames.
Yes- you win valuable prizes! Who was the Blue guy who posted here connected to? Can't remember if it was LT as well.Is uncle monty related to lance Thomas?
The best thing about that story was the guy ringels, who was involved . I think he was douby’s aau coach or handler. Fred hill tried to pull some shady stuff and he still couldn’t get Thomas ! Rip ringels !Yes- you win valuable prizes! Who was the Blue guy who posted here connected to? Can't remember if it was LT as well.
Yes- Ringels was a well-known NYC hoops coach who re-located to NJ. Sadly, he died way too young in a car accident. I think the other poster I am thinking of is Luther Blue. The best thing about that story was the guy ringels, who was involved . I think he was douby’s aau coach or handler. Yes but the story is interesting . Fred hill basically told ringels and douby to say he wasn’t going to declare for the draft until lance Thomas signed . Basically ringels and douby wanted no part in leading Thomas on . It was ugly.Yes- Ringels was a well-known NYC hoops coach who re-located to NJ. Sadly, he died way too young in a car accident. Ugh - I didn't know that. Terrible.Yes but the story is interesting . Fred hill basically told ringels and douby to say he wasn’t going to declare for the draft until lance Thomas signed . Basically ringels and douby wanted no part in leading Thomas on . It was ugly.
I'm fine not having an answer to that question. Will sleep fine at night.Duke is a good team and can beat most of the Big Ten teams, including Rutgers. With K, they are always a threat. We will never know now. I still think they should be in the tournament.

The facts : both mens hoops and football had their best seasons in years . That is no debate .Not sure if serious, but I suspect you are. So I will bite, what measurable statistics do you use to conclude "great policies"? NJ leads the US in covid deaths per capita; 2,681 deaths per 1M residents, well more than double NC's 1,108. Not sure one needs to go any deeper than the deaths per capita.
Looking at the positive cases per capita is another way to look, and here NJ is much better than deaths; NJ's 93,066 cases per 1M is actually mid of the pack for the US states although still higher than NC's 83,888.
RightOK Plum, I will thank Schiano, Pikiell, their staffs and all the players for being smart and careful. You can throw kisses to Murph if you like.
That's who I was thinking of. Also, remember the SJU Maven dude? That guy always had good info. What happened to LFBall
Yeah, he was always good for inside info. That's who I was thinking of. Also, remember the SJU Maven dude? That guy always had good info.
