Brass Key was public swimming pool in Alexandria, south of old CC HS on other side at the dip in 27.
Nope, Cross Keys is an apartment complex off Alexandria Dr here in Lex.

I remember my sister having or going to several pool parties at that YWCA as a kid. Late 80s, early 90s.

As far as the guys above talking about D Vest, hanging out at Turfland and Southland, not sure what age you guys are but I'm late 30s, if that sounds like you then surely we have crossed paths at some point as well. I didn't know Vest that well but he definitely hung out with friends I had growing up. The Vest guy I'm talking about definitely got into a lot of trouble.. They were over in Gardenside/Garden Springs.

They youngest is about 9-10 years older than you so it may have been another Vest or someone else unless who you were thinking of was that much older.

Summer of 1993, I was getting ready to enter 7th grade. Neighborhood friend of mine had an overnight sleepover as a birthday party with 8 other young punks, myself included.

We got his older brother to buy us six dozen eggs for a night of egging and playing ding dong ditch in our neighborhood. We snuck out of the house around 11 pm.

Things were going well. We egged the **** out of houses and cars. About 20 minutes into our adventure, we saw two police cars rolling through the neighborhood with their spotlights on. We had established an emergency plan that we would run to the park in the middle of the neighborhood in the case of trouble.

We saw the lights and all ran to the park. The cops saw us running and hit the blue lights. Luckily the park was designed in a way cars couldn’t drive past a certain spot. I remember hiding in the base of a hollowed out tree near a creek bed (this is where we hid our nudie mags and cigs when we got older) while the cops halfass searched for us. I was convinced i was going to prison for life. After 5-10 minutes that seemed like 3 hours, the cops went back to their cars and left. We waited another 20 minutes or so in our hiding spots and slowly made out way back to the house we snuck out of.

Got away with it. But got a helluva scare.

We were 12 or so & playing hide/seek at one guy's farm. Three of us couldn't find 4th. We were standing in front of hay pile that was down in a lower barn bay. The farm kid said I don't where he is & randomly picked up a pitchfork & threw it down in the hay pile. The missing kid screamed & stood up from the hay pile with two of the folks stuck in his back.

Historically, I was at Pete Rose 4192 when I was 5 yo. Remember it slightly, not as much as I wish.

Craziest thing...playing backyard football and two of my friends collided, one fried stuck his front teeth into the forehead of another friend. One tooth didn't leave the forehead. Pretty much disgusting....blood everywhere.

They lived off
That might be Steve, but I thought he was older than that. The Vests I knew lived on Wichita.
Yep, they lived on Wichita. Matt was 90. I think Steve was earlier than that though, maybe 84-85. Mike was considerably older than Steve too. **** it’s been so long my memory may be way off though. Same guys though. Matt was a trip back in the day. Up in Indy now. Good guys, all of them.

My friend and I would always visit this poster/"head" shop which was in walking distance of our houses at the end of Pimlico and MOW. There was this 4ft poster of a lovely lady who just happened to be topless that we would gawk over every time we were there. I finally resolved that she would be mine and bought the poster one day.

Imagine, if you will, a 12-13-year-old walking down the street with a huge poster of a buxom lass and that youth displaying the pertinent side to oncoming traffic.

I didn't see it but from the number of horns honked, my guess is it was pretty awesome.
