WV over LP.
* LP has a ton of starters back and they had lots of injuries last year after the first couple game - people are underestimating them. They will be a lot tougher than folks realize.

NV over MV.
* MV just doesn't have the skill horses and they are reeling from the transfer of their top 2 players to NC.

GN over NC
* this is the game of the week in the DVC. Pickem game I think - but we will see. GN Defense vs NC offense. I'm going Defense with my pick. Plus it's at GN's house and that's a tough place to play for a NC team breaking in a lot of new varsity starters.

Eville over NN
*. If it was played off Ogden then I would pick the Huskies. Watch out for the home cooking down south Huskies!

WWS over WN
*. Another super interesting game. If WWS finds their Defensive Mojo,.. watch out rest of DVC!

WV over LP.
Not a great place to start the season after a tough year last year for LP. Only hope for LP is if WV totally underestimates an experienced team which would only make it closer then a blowout.
NV @ MV
NV over MV.
MV lost too much but still have a few D1 recruits to hold their own for a half.
NC @ GN
NC over GN
I just don't think the GN offense will be ready to beat a team like NC yet. Expect a certain NC linebacker to live in the GN backfield tonight.
NN @ Edwardsville
Edwardsville over NN.
Home cooking will come into play late in the game. Phantom holding penalty on a big passing play.
WN @ WWS
WN over WWS
Slight edge to the Falcons because the team is loaded with Seniors.

LP @ WV - Waubonsie but closer then some may think.
NV @ MV - Nequa - too much O lost for MV. Pulling for Metea, sucks to lose great players to a rival.
NC @ GN - This should be good! GN wins the battle at the LOS. GN in a close one.
NN @ Edwardsville - Naperville North. Davis to Calcagno!
WN @ WWS - WN that is all!

Wow that Lake Park QB can move/run as well as throw. He is the real deal. He ate us up and he and his RB's got out on the edge a lot.

I was worried about Lake Park with all those 16+ retuning starters - they could be this years version of the 2016 Naperville North Huskies.

Next week two previously ranked teams (Glenbard North and Waubonsie Valley) going to be mad as hell and looking for a W when they face off against each other

Going to be a fun ride in the last year of the DVC. And it looks like half the teams in the conference have a top flight QB to wrangle with. Teams better find a non blitzing pass rush or all the games are going to be in the 30's and 40's on the scoreboard.

Agree that it's going to be a fun year, Voodoo.

Next week has some interesting matchups....Neuqua v Central is going to be a good one.

I drove from a wake on Roosevelt and Naper Blvd to S. Naperville around 7 and it was weird passing NN, NC, and NV and seeing all of their stadiums empty.

Not so sure Central/Neuqua will be a good match up. Assuming everything I read and saw video clips of is true, if you think GN got shredded by the pass, Neuqua will be in deep ****!

True. Our D backs are good as is our DL but Central will pressure them all night. Neuqua's O should be good so the game could be decided there. If NC can step up on D like they did last night it could be a long night for NV.
