Neuqua knocks off Waubonsie tonight... just think timing is bad for the Warriors after upsetting GN last week. Third straight tough game for WV... meat grinder DVC schedule a factor here.

MV capable of doing damage if they can clean up the mistakes. Thorne the QB looked good last week and the RB is a game breaker. NC defense strong... should be a low scoring battle with NC winning.

GN just too much for WWS... think they will crush them. Panthers take out their frustrations after blowing late lead last week.

Hopefully NN defense shows up this week, otherwise it will be a long night in Wheaton. Sean Drendel is 0-6 against the Falcons since taking over as HC. NN will need to score a lot of points to beat WN.

Ok NNFan!! Off the fence please I'm having trouble decisfering your pick in the NN vs WN game. Can we put you down for NN for a pick from the heart?

Voodoo (hopefully still have the magic going) picks for week three

WV over NV (have to go with the heart on this one!!! Just like last week). NV nursing some injuries and so is WV on a couple of key players from the slugfest last week. Game at WV for first time in like forever. Place will be crazy.

NC over MV. Yes MV can be dangerous but when is the last time NC started 0-3? Got to go with NC in this one.

GBN over WWS. GBN going to be in a nasty mood after the 4th quarter magic last week.

WN over NN. This could be a very nice battle to watch if NN defense shows up for this one! I think the edge goes to WN with their defense and line backing crew.

LP over #6 in 6A Dekalb. I don't know much about Dekalb, but LP offense is vastly improved from last year and their defense while not eye poppingly good,.. Is very solid. Two very good players on their Dline and a couple of good ones in the back 4. Come on Lake Park!! Win yourself a bunch of playoff points as Dekalb will probably finish 7-2 or 8-1 against the scrub teams they normally face AND win the rest of the DVC teams one playoff point with your win tonite!! Make it happen Lancers!!

Sadly... I had to work and missed the NN game against Wheaton North. Based on everything I have read... this may have been the best, most complete game that the Huskies have played since the 2008 team started 10-0. Congrats to the Huskies! Great to see Cross Robinson return at RB... NN has a nice backfield with Cross and Eric Wright. Good to see the defense with a strong game, not sure if they made any adjustments after Metea. I was honestly worried after seeing WN roll over JC and WWS. You have to be ready every week in the DVC... just a killer conference. I miss West Chicago.

Ok. I'm 5-0 from week 2 picks but only 3-2 for week 3 picks. Obviously I lost my magic and need to get it back for the week 4 picks.

From here on out I will be taking a cue from NNfan and abstaining from picking the WV game each week. The Huskies had a wonderful performance vs WN and much of it is due to NNfan not KOD'ing them with picking their game.

The two picks Voodoo lost this week (taking WV over NV & WN over NN) were not bad picks seeing how each week in the DVC a lot of match ups will be toss ups. But NN crushing WN is what caught my eye. Yes, WN is banged up, but every team has some injuries and starters sitting. Question is what NN team shows up this week against LP. The team that almost lost to Metea, or the team that destroyed WN.
