Long white Cadillac was always a favorite cruising song of mine.
Anything from after 2005. Incredible stuff since then. Especially his bluegrass album. Swimming pools, Movie Stars. . Also every track on 3 Pears anD Secondhand Heart is incredible.plus his album of Buck Owens covers.

Love to hear him on Two Doors Down. Hell of a talent. Love watching him on Slingblade and Three Burials of Melquiates Estrada. Johnny Cash said Yoakam was his favorite singer.

One of his older songs, maybe on his first or second album, "South of Cincinnati" really great song. Check it out Chad. it is about a love relationship ending. The lady writing a letter to a former lover who had moved and she never sent him the letter she wrote.
He sings " golden ring" with Emmy Lou Harris. Good listen
