I know he is still at least 3 years away, but I wasn't sure how good of recruit he was going to be. He hasn't had the same fan fair as kid like Naas Cunningham (#1 player in 2024).

Friend of mine who is well connected in NJ hoops told me this today, "RU will be battling some blue bloods to try and get him".

Hoping the success of Ron will help us land him and maybe 2024 will be a magical class if we can find a way to get a few of the top NJ kids that year.

He will be a 5 star according to my friend who wrote for SI. He is retired but still keeps involved in college basketball.

Would be amazing. Didn't someone post here they heard Ron Sr talking and basically said he isn't coming here?

Well people being loud about their negativity isn't going to help.
But if he doesn't give RU a fair and hard look, thats BS.
Putting aside how good he is and where that could land him, he may also not want to live the same life as his brother. This will be his first opportunity to go somewhere different where he won’t be “Ron’s brother”. That is important for lots of regular kids, and applies to athletes too.

What could have been makes fans have unrealistic expectations as to the current reality.
Agreed. If coaches like Dan Hurley or Jay Wright were even remotely inclined to consider Rutgers (and both have track records saying they would not), I'm afraid Rutgers could not/would not ever foot the bill for such a hire (based on Rutgers own track record in coaching hires).

One thing is for sure - he will not be under the radar. Somehow Ron flew under the radar a bit.

Also someone brought up his dad, but I think his mom could have more influence than pops. I believe she attends most of Ron’s game.

Either way agree it will be tough to fight off the blue bloods for Dylan.

Actually, Bob Mulchay almost had Jay Wright signed, The contract was basicaly agreed to when Villanova fired Lappas so they could grab Wright before he signed with RU.

But we would of ran him out of town since nobody has an ounce of patience around these parts!!!
