Can we talk a bit about our supposed super star de? I used to not want to mention individual players but with nil and zero loyalty that’s gone. Dude comes across with a selfish crap attitude. The trash talk and after play crap is tired and played out. Took millions in NIL now here we are. Should be able to depend on your all Americans right?

He's best in third and long situations. I don't recall Mizzou hardly ever having anything more than third and 3 or 4 yards most of the night. He needs to put on another 10+ pounds in muscle to be an effective run stopper.

Well hes a future 1st round pick playing on an absolute trash team, so opponents gameplan primarily to stop/avoid him, and I dont blame him for being pissed. He could have a NC ring already and not face double teams all game had he stuck w Ohio State

He's double teamed every play. It was clear yesterday when they were going to pass because they lined up 2 guys on Stewart. On running plays they ran away or right up the middle, where he was rendered ineffective. Last year, having Kennard on the other side is what made the defense go. Plus we had SRs in the middle of the line and at LB. It was always going to be a tough hole to fill, and it's clear we are rebuilding there instead of reloading.

Yep we lost a lot on D. However they havent been all that bad. When a D has an offense as pathetic as ours they wear down.

Guy gets doubled like that he gets frustrated and starts playing stupid; seen it many times. Moot point anyway; he’s likely portal bound somewhere that has some help so he can play free.

There is nothing from preventing from moving him to different sides of the ball, or not being set at all and design him to move to other side, middle etc.
Other DC's do this all the time.

Oh, I agree. What I'm saying, is that its easier to be the guy who cleans up because everyone is scheming for the "better guy" next to you or a few spots down.

Now hes the guy people are scheming for.

I beg to differ, unfortunately. We looked good vs. Va Tech and SC State. We looked bad vs. Vandy (who is actually pretty good) and a mediocre Mizzou offense ran all over us. That's the DL and LBs that gave up 285 yards rushing. That's bad.

He's facing double teams all day long because he doesnt have someone on the other side getting everyone's attention, like last year.
This is a truism and for certain his situation has turned frustrating. Some things have been observed from him that don't bespeak leadership and team spirit. "To whom much is given, much shall be required."

College programs are sadly realizing why NFL contracts are filled with incentives when numbers are reached. Up front gaurenteed money absolutely kills these players drive. Clemson has a tons of NFL guys now going the motions but they're not the only ones. Once programs are eliminated from the playoffs there's nothing to play for. SC has basically already had that happen. Its the beautiful world of hired guns.

offensive line can't block and seems to be small compared to some of the defensive lines they have face. I think the offensive line coach needs to go.

I think they need to carve him up and apportion his girth to the offensive linemen.
