LOL. I hear you. But that's like saying you're too old for sex. :ROFLMAO:

The Birds have yet to play a complete game, and this crap will eventually catch up to them.

With all the trouble we've had over the years in Tampa Bay, I'm happy to get out of there with a win.
Fair. The win is the important thing. They need to get the offense fixed. I was hopeful after the second half last week and first half this week. But then today’s second half happened.

I’m getting worried about Barkley and the running game. Either he’s not exploding or seeing the field like last year, or the OL just isn’t overpowering like we are used to seeing. Can losing Bekton be that big an impact?

I heard AJ made ‘interesting’ comments on social media. Anyone know what they are

Dunno if anyone else feels this way but Tom Brady is a marvelous analyst. I didn't expect to like the guy but he is graceful, respectful, incredibly well prepared, knows and likes the players. So many gifted analysts out there w Collinsworth, Olsen, Romo etc. but Brady might be the best of them even though it's early in his career. Always learning stuff from these guys and I've been watching football a long time.

Roob with some great observations:

It was a combination of a lot of things. Eagles played with a lot of emotion on D and then physically ran out of gas in the 100 degree heat. Plus the ridiculous taunting penalty kind of threw them off. And Tampa Bay is a quality team on both sides of the ball so once they got their bearings they matched up pretty well with the Eagles. Second game in a row, if not for special teams the Eagles lose.

Any guesses about which Sunday the Eagles will make their September visit to Tampa next year??

You can say the same thing about that first Baker Mayfield TD pass. He heaved that into double coverage and both Eagles were a millimeter from that ball. They missed and it was a 70-yard TD.

It’s a game of inches. In most evenly-matched games, there are a few plays that decide things.

seeing how they are winning without AJ Brown adding anything to the picture, do they trade him for a 1st rounder and maybe a player or 2 , save this cap money, and sign both the big guys on D? Just a thought I lived thru the TO era.

Barkley’s pop looks fine - he’s moving well when he gets room and in the passing game. The Oline hasn’t jelled and has guys banged up. Plus the scheme isn’t great.

How long can this continue - even with the wins - without Sirianni making a change at play caller?

This is not a “cut your teeth and struggle” situation for a first-time OC. It’s the most expensive and likely talented group in the NFL. There’s no excuse for being this inconsistent and poor for big stretches.

Guys like AJ and Saquon will eventually get Patullo demoted if this isn’t fixed fast. I’m circling the bye week as the likely time that would happen.

i doubt it happens. Last year we were in a worser situation when the OL went to Nick and said run the ball. Some how KM got the message, and things got turned around, slowly. Remember NO? how about the Browns game? I'll admit something is going on, and not sure what. If the 'box' is a loaded as they say the pass game has to be better. Look at some of the good things they did, variations off the 'tush push', DG involved . Last yrs O didnt come to life until the end of the season, imo. If you think about it, AJ missed almost all of training camp.

I think it was Ray Didinger or Reuben Frank that reminded everyone last year the Eagles were 2-2 with the bye week and that is when they really started to turn things around. They feel its a product of a 17 game schedule in the NFL now that a number of coaches are not playing their players much if at all in the preseason. They don't want to risk injury or wear them out over a long season. So the players have to round themselves into game shape over the first several games of the season. Hope you don't come out of the gate 0-4. Also the lack of game speed hurts the timing of the offense and defense. It is what Sirianni has chosen for his players to keep them fresh and not risk injury. Hopefully this holds true this season again and we see the Eagles really start to turn it on again over the next couple of months. I saw Mailata discuss when the players break down the film with Stout they are not that far away from really getting the running game going. It's usually 1 block that is off, due to scheme, technique, missed assignment, etc. and feel they will get the running game going soon. Add in all the teams the Eagles play probably spent a good chunk of their off season on how to defend and attack the Eagles. So the coordinators are going to need some time to adjust to what teams are doing and figure out a way to attack. Anyway I thought it made sense and have to wait over the next 4-5 weeks to see if the Eagles really start picking up the pace.

Sirianni said last season something to the effect of “we’ll figure out the offense…we are too good not to.”

And he was right. So let’s see how they go over the next four games. Win Sunday and they have a really good chance at 8-0 or 7-1.

Exactly my friends and I said that last sunday after the win. This team hasn't put together and entire game yet. Win against Denver and they have a great chance to come out of the gate 8-0 with a lot of momentum. Would be a great thing to see them mirror last year and really start picking up the pace the 2nd half of the season into the playoffs.
