And then Hurts forces a deep int when a 15 yard pass over the middle gives Elliott a shot.

How long before Hurts draws comparisons to Wentz? This is an all time catastrophe in Philly sports.

Every opposing team should pretend it’s third down every play against the Eagles and call plays accordingly. Then they’d never get to an actual third down.

Bradberry and the DBs suck this year and the DL can’t seem to get to the QB with consistency which exacerbates the problem.

also very concerned about Hurts. He can’t find open receivers and thus takes too long to throw the ball to hit receivers in stride. The last INT was indicative and under thrown by at least 10 yards. I love his running ability, but regressed in the pass game.

None of it matters. You don’t lose 3 games in a row this late in the year and make a meaningful run in the playoffs. Good thing we got lucky against the Bills and Chiefs.

Hurts will start drawing comparisons to Wentz. And deservedly so. The parallels and regression is uncanny, only Hurts has so much more talent around him.

That there was just about the most BRUTAL loss I have ever seen. A last minute game winning drive orchestrated by Drew Lock, for Chrissake. Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory. Hurts showed some grit going out and not only starting that game, but going the whole way. It's a good thing Lane Johnson was not seriously injured.

The Eagles are a vastly better team than the Seahawks, but I have to say that the Seahawks are a LOT more competitive when they are playing at home. That venue is the loudest in the NFL, by far. And the Seahawks are better than their record indicates. It has been a house of horrors for the Niners in recent years. The Niners went 4-16 against the Seahawks when Russell Wilson was their QB, and a bunch of those losses came in Seattle.

WestSideLion, I have to disagree with you. The Eagles will, barring major injury(ies), win their last three regular season games. The Niners had a three game loss streak and bounced back. I think the Eagles will as well. I'm still thinking the NFC Championship Game will match the Niners and the Eagles.

I'd be interested in Eagles fans' take on Bradbury. I have not followed him a whole lot, but it seems like he has both up and down games.

The Eagles are toast. They’ve lost their confidence and identity. Their coaching staff is young and will struggle to get it back.

Murray and the Cardinals will be a major problem for them. So may the Giants on the road.

I thing I’ve never figured out. Why not the first drive of second half come out and run the same script you ran to open the game ?

Yeah, same script just flip-flopped to the other sideline. I wonder about that all the time…..if something works, come back with it. Just reverse the formation and the call to the other sideline!

Ugh, thanks for making me feel worse. You can never know for sure because every decision and play after that would have been different.
But I would say that was a pretty key contributor to the loss.
This team’s talent level is such that 1-2 plays shouldn’t cost them games. They’ve lost their identity. It’s baffling. I doubt it was the Niners loss tape. It’s been building all year with the offense.

You are absolutely correct, you never know how a game will play out.

BUT

What absolutely drives me nuts and what’s so sad is when a team ends up beating itself because of their own mistakes and dumb plays.

They do have 1 and out written all over them.

Despite living in the area for almost 50 years, I have never been an Iggles fan. So don't have any real passion for the team....but....I caught the last minute or so of the game, and damn....I feel for all y'all. That is a tough pill to swallow.

There is zero chance this team beats either San Fran or Dallas - the offense will not put up enough points to cover for this poor defense. I am so tired of watching them give up first downs on third and 10+ yards - just insane they can't stop that even once in a while.
