Point #5 is key. The Eagles have gotten significant contributions from their 2021 draft class. That’s a refreshing change.
as usual, the Birds start slow, and allow WFT to march down the field on their opening drive.

Birds O goes for it on 4th & 1 at the WFT 23 (or thereabout), and doesn't make it.

And that’s how you get beat. Sigh. Hurts was late on 3rd and short pass and they get stuffed on 4th and 2.
1st & goal at the 5 for the Birds ... 2 runs that gain little, an incomplete, and they go for it on 4th down, and Boston Scott runs it in for the TD!!!
Looks to me the only way the Iggles stop the run is to score some points and make them throw
Heineke is 10-10 for 132 yards. They are back to making meh QBs look like gods. Have to change that somehow.

Good lord. That final WFT possession was just brutal defense by the Eagles. They had them pinned at their own 5 and allow Heineke to march them to a FG.

WTF was happy to let the half run out but Sirianni was nice enough to stop the clock for them. I get the fact he was looking for a defensive stop on third down but it was third, short, and very makable. Let the clock run in that situation and get to the locker room.
