Moving back to Florida next month and looking to get an E-Bike for cruising with friends and pulling my #75 dog behind me. Not sure what wattage I’ll need, obviously it’s pretty flat everywhere there, and what brands people prefer.

Not planning on going more than 20 miles or so at most per trip. Not trying to go more than 25-30mph. Just a solid, sturdy e-bike to get around town.

Any expertise is appreciated.

Takes a really sick mofo to want to drag a dog behind an ebike on purpose. At least in Griswald’s case it was an honest mistake.

I trust the GCN reviews. They’re goofballs but they know their stuff and are thorough as hell. Good place to start. This might be worthwhile.

Thanks for this but I couldn’t figure out where the actual article is.

I've had three of them. 500 watts is plenty in Florida
And that’s the type info I’m looking for. I was curious if I needed the 750-1000W due to pulling a #80 dog in a trailer. But the 500W is definitely a money saver in the likes of $2-300.

Still think it’s enough with the dog? I mean, the hardest thing I’ll be doing is cruising through some sand on the beach, no hills really to be worried about.

I think it will because Florida is so flat

It’s a video at the top of the page.
