Hey….
I’m sure you accidentally put an A instead of an R…
Right
lilly and ross have to have huge games for Er. I think Eastern Alamance has the ability to overwhelm Er like Northeastern did.

Hey Kidd, how long has it been or have you ever been since you were 1A?
Never ever…
3A in dinosaur age when I was there.
2A around 2000 for awhile.
Back to 3A shortly after.
Dropped to 2A after Providence Grove opened in 2008ish.

And not at 1 pm on a Saturday lol. EA is big and stout defensively
Seriously will be a challenge to play EA. ER lost a Tennessee recruit, as well as some offensive linemen. Most of the rest of team returns. If OL gels quickly could end up being a very good year.
Friday will not make or break either team but like I said it is in Ramseur…
And on Friday…

If y’all can take the hits these small mountain teams bring then you certainly have the talent and speed.

Well now........

That was quite a debut from the Cats last night.

I'll get the bad news out of the way. Osiris Ross has left the building. Not sure where he transferred to (hopefully Hough didn't recruit him away......).

Now.....to last night. Never, during any point of the game, did I feel like EA was a threat. ER ran the ball down EA's throat and there was nothing the Eagles could do about it. Lilly had around 200 yards and three touchdowns. The right side of ER's O-line is massive. Landon Loflin played center and right beside him was a kid who was just as big as he is!

Speaking of Loflin, he's going to be an absolute nightmare for the vast majority of D-lineman that face him. He might have set a record for pancakes last night.

The most interesting man on ER's team is QB Stratton Barwick. Barwick is built like a collegiate fullback. I wanted so badly to see him tuck it and run someone over at least once. However, he let his arm do the talking. He looked good throwing those go and fade routes. He's also got a couple of nice receivers to throw to. Especially Elias Alston. I really enjoyed watching him. He's a playmaker.

Continued......

Although ER doesn't look nearly as menacing on D as they do on O, they still did a nice job of making plays and forcing turnovers when they needed to.

I also need to mention a freshman by the name of Timmy Brower. As much hype as he has as a basketball prospect, he's not a bad football prospect either. He made quite a few plays on D.

As for EA, I'm going to withhold judgment on the Eagles. I'm not sure if they're down or if ER is just that good (hopefully the latter). Two of their captains were injured and not dressed out. EA does have a shifty QB, a dependable RB, and two quick, decent receivers.

As of this point in time.........I have a very good feeling about these Cats. If you can't stop them from going downhill, it could be a very long night.

One more thing.....

The ER band needs to hit the weight room. They sounded puny last night. A strong team like ER does not deserve a puny band.
In defense of band, participation has been hurt severely by Covid. Hopefully numbers improve if/when corner is finally turned.
Chute, you have to let an old man know when you coming.
I mighta baked a cake or something 😂

One of those captains was starting QB for EA…
But unless defense improves EA may have a tough year.

What I’ve heard is Ross ain’t even in state of NC…
Landon will get some big time looks because he is well big. Great feet too.
Stratton is a good young man who hopefully continues to improve. Can chunk it a little.

…EA eas missing key defenders due to injury…starting Qb was out due to injury as well…not to take credit away from ER. They won but offens of EA wasnt normal threat without starting qb

EA starting Qb was out and in a boot which made the passing attack suffer. A few defensive guys were out as well… So what ER faced wasn’t the best of EA.
Kinda what I meant.
One thing: ER got ball back with like 20 seconds left in 3rd quarter. EA got it back with under 3 minutes left in game. That’s a long clock eating drive. That’s what I meant about defense for EA needs to improve.
