I'll call your Eagle Cam, and raise you two Peregrine Falcons

I admit, I absolutely love these cameras.....but man, those eagles look like they'll rip your friggin' eyes out if you get too close.

We checked on it over the last couple of months. Snow

sometimes covered the eagle on the nest. It's hard to believe the eggs could survive that weather.

What is that black thing in the nest on the side closer to the camera ? It's almost as big as the eagles Mom and Dad. Someone's a really good hunter, with all those fish laying there. I've seen quite a few of these nest cams, but I've never seen a nest with so much food in it !

This webcam is very popular nationally and covered extensively on the local news. The best guess as to the 'black thing' is a skunk. Several cam viewers stated that when it first arrived in the nest the white stripe could be viewed. ...but who knows ?

Each time I viewed the nest before the eggs hatched I would never see food. Every since the eggs hatched it looks like a bloody buffet.

Keep in mind....this nest is estimated to be 6' in diameter.

If that pic represented this forum... ....I'd be a fish... ...but some would suggest that I'm actually what looks like a skunk.

....all the while not truly understanding that both fish and skunks have wonderful traits....and that I don't represent either....

You got me hooked on this just after the eggs hatched. Can't stop watching.

............ Was amused at the treehugger freaks the other day when both the male and female eagles were out of the nest... The started somewhat of a 'prayer thread' for the eaglets.
