Received an e-mail about a pumpkin sale for my daughter's middle school band, and now I cannot get the David S. Pumpkins' theme music out of my head.

Also, "Vacation" by Dirty Heads has been on repeat in my head a lot over the past month.

I'm betting more than a few who read this will also get those pieces of music playing in their heads.

We have a guy here at work who is unusually susceptible to earworms, and will get one stuck for hours before threatening to harm the person who was responsible. I make it a point to torment him.

My favorite technique is to respond to him when he's ranting about how bad something is with "But is it bananas? B a n a n a s..." in a casual, monotone voice as part of the conversation. I have an almost a 100% success rate getting Holla Back Girl stuck in his head.

I got the intro to this in my head for about 3 days. It's the worst I can recall by a bunch. I can usually put some headphones on and listen to something really different and it gets rid of it. Nothing helped with this.

No I had heard of that song, but heard it at the Super Bowl 1/2 time show. She also sang the ear worm song I am speaking of, let me look it up.

Thankfully it was second Gaga song on YouTube, It’s called Bad Romance and now I will have that stupid ra ra ra ra ra stick in my head again for a day or two.
