Will be a hard-nosed game for sure, but I like our chances..
The EB team has come a long ways and quickly. The first game looked like most of the players did not know all of the plays and with many players with limited experience, this shows what an excellent coaching staff can do. By the time Whiteville came to Elizabethtown, it all came together. This team has showed grit and determination by coming back twice after being down at half. Of Course SC is well coached, excellent talent, and will bring it all. When SC and EB get together, it will probably come down the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. It should be a great game.

Also, I am surprised that our conference has gotten no respect. SC, EB, and Whiteville have received little attention in the polls. Good luck to all in the playoffs.

This young team has grown up so much since the opening game loss to Clinton. With that being said...not just playing South Columbus but going to South Columbus will be the toughest test this season. If the Eagles can hold on to the ball on offense, limit the penalties....they have a chance. Looks like the Stallions aired it out some against Whiteville Saturday so the defense will have to be ready for everything. Will be a great game for sure. Good luck to both teams.

With the importance of this game, I sure hope EB will bring a big crowd. The atmosphere is so much better when the stands are packed out. Not to mention SC could sure use a big gate.

I think the 'experts' have been sleeping on EB. I think the Eagles make the trek down 701 and eek out a win for the crown. I think this will be a high scoring game between to great teams.

We "Whiteville", have played both. IMO give a slight edge to South. Both team have holes on defense that can be exploited, so there are points to be scored. Give the edge to South only on the strength of the o-line and the way they stay with their blocks and get down field. Do a fantastic job getting numbers out on the corners and putting a hat on people. QB is solid and compliments their style of play perfectly. Both teams play turnover free and play their normal game I'll take South by 10. That being said everyone at the first of the year had left East for dead, boy did they prove everyone wrong.

What kinda passing game does EB have? And is fish still coaching the defense?

Not bad....Use it when they have to. But will also surprise you just when you're sleep. Sophomore at QB has done a good job. Tough as they come. Can run it also. Ask Red Springs.

I believe Coach Fisher is still coaching DL. ebhsfan can answer that better than I can.

Yeah hoping for a EB win....will make our schedule look a little bit better lol.....but yes i agree for a team thats so young and was suppose to be down they have played great...if this is a precursor for things to come EB will be a load to deal with the next couple of years as always....probably one of the most consistent programs in 2a along with South Columbus....should be a good game........ Coach Fisher has been helping out a lot with the JV but also does work with the varsity DL helping out Coach McCall.
QB Zach Meares is a gamer. He has an above average arm and makes good decision out of the spread when we go to it. He also can tuck and run it very effectively. He doesn't make very many mistakes as he hasn't thrown an Int all year. I believe we will have to mix it up quite a bit on offense to win and the Defense will have to play their best game of the year. This will be a good end of the year test for this young eagle team.

I’m going with the stallions at home, I just don’t think this group of guys will let another game at the end of the season keep them from an outright conference championship like last year, not to add in Coach Dove is 3-0 against the eagles since being at south. I got the stallions 35-24. With all that being said hats off to the eagles and their coaching staff they’ve really surprised a lot of people this season and will be a tough out in the playoffs. I would say I would be surprised if they win Friday night but you can never count them out, so it’s only a prediction which as we all say “that’s why they play the games”. Safe travels to all players, coaches and fans from E-Town.

Oh man I got the night before jitters as if I were suiting up tomorrow night. Huge game, expect a packed house at Civitan stadium (when was the last time we actually had a Friday night home game?).
I feel like this is going to be another close game but I’m giving it to my stallion 34-21.

Happy we won but we can't turn the ball over like that and expect to keep winning in the playoffs.

When will we know who we have in the first round? As of now from what I see its looking like James Kenan or Bertie in the first round.

Was surprised EB didn’t bring a bigger crowd... whiteville didn’t exactly fill the bleachers last week either .... I remember these games use to be standing room only ... what gives
I saw that while I was watching the game on Highschoolot.com while listening to my Dark Horses, and I saw the small crowd for EB, which was surprising given their record. Clinton was packed on both sides last night. OAN, looks like you guys will be hosting Ayden Grifton next week.
