I agree with you for the most part, but Jeff Thomas Is a miss match for anyone in the state. The key to contain him is gang tackling and pressuring the quarterback. Also making sure kick offs go in the end zone and making punts be fair caught.
That kid is special, no doubt. Typically you see more zone in high school football over man to man. Provi has never struggled with ESL's athletes over the years. I think the atheltic guys for Provi are still unknown to the general public, so this opener will be a great debut for some of these kids.
With the new transfer from Oklahoma, Provi's top 3 CBs average 6'0 185lbs with pretty good speed. They obviously can't simulate the speed they will see but I think they are up for the task!!
These 2 teams recently met in the 2013 quarterfinals on a mild Saturday afternoon in New Lenox before monsoons hit for the night games. The Flyers converted a 2-point conversion at the end of the game to prevail 27-26. ESL went on to a 7-6 defeat at the hands of Richards in the semifinals.
No one in ESL will be suprise. Beleive me no one will take PC for granted always a strong program and very well respected.
Unfortunately, I will be at Aurora Christian for the Elgin vs East Aurora game on Saturday night.
However, for those who'd like to see ESL @ PC but can't make it to New Lenox, may I suggest... WJOL-TV!

You are so right on this point. ESL plays such S-L-O-W tempo w/o urgency. This was particularly evident on their weak and unproductive possession late in the 1st half.
ESL's athletes ran circles around ours...Their line play was crazy!! Hats off to a great team. If they can stay healthy......crown em!! lol
