What are your thoughts. They must be pretty good or they wouldn't be in the 3rd round. The Pack may have their hands full in this one. I look for the defense to really step it up if we pull this one out.

Really need to reduce the penalties if you want to continue to advance in a close game those could send us to the basketball gym. Also #3 needs more touches. in my opinion, reverses, bubble screens, anything to get him in space and use his speed. Also regardless of who it is on the kicks if you can CATCH the doggone football and don't give up valuable field position. That's exactly what a Fair Catch allows you to do.
Any long time Whiteville fans on here remember traveling up here to Union County (Marshville) about this time of year 40 years ago for a game in the freezing cold? Ever since then I've tried to keep up with how y'all do each year down there. Great teams.
2A championship 1984 @ Forest Hills! I remember it well. Cold is an understatement. Just before game time helicopter from tv station landed and really spiked the wind chill. Long cold drive back to Whiteville after a 14-6 defeat.

We honored that FH team at halftime of our last regular season home game this year. Didn't Whiteville win it the next season? We played for the 3A title that following year but lost.
IMO all time best team 85 got upset in a monsoon to White Oak. 86 lost Eastern championship to Ahoskie 33-31. 87 team finally struck gold 14-12 vs Thomasville.
I was a Jr at Uncw and myself and several others made the trek to Marshville. I remember they had some fires in barrels. Also remember Terry Paige our Allstate RB. never could get going. Field was mighty wet
Don’t think we will see 63 points total this game much less 63 by one team. Need to win the turnover battle and get a grip on the penalties. Stay focused on the task at hand. Time for the defense step up and make a statement. Need a complete game on that side of the ball.

QB appears to be the man. Over 2000 yds passing 30 tds , another 500 rushing 9 tds. Kid is also a leader on defense. Just a junior! Now that what I call a “football player”. I guess we start with him .
Sounds like we might be in trouble unless we can contain that monster. Our defense better have something up their sleeve. I think the defense we have been playing won't work unless they get a lot of pressure on him.
Containing their star player will be a challenge, especially considering his performance in previous games. If Whiteville can apply consistent pressure and disrupt their offensive rhythm, Whiteville can force mistakes and create opportunities for themselves.
Hertford County had the next Michael Vick come down here a couple of years ago and we beat them, new year, new team, we will have to see. The Whiteville D has several above average and a couple of elite play makers on D and they will HIT you.

The Pack played their best game tonight. The defense played lights out with 4 int's and 2 fumble recovers. They shut down the high-powered offense of Eastern Wayne and the o line wore their defense down in the second half. A complete game on both sides of the ball for Whiteville. #24 couldn't be stopped. The best game plan I have seen all year on both sides of the ball. Congrats to the coaches and the team. Keep it going.
Out of town on a yearly family trip but we listened and will be there next Friday. Go Pack!
