I’d rather be Clinton going into this game than ED. Clinton has a lot to play for in this game as well as ED. I think Senior night will have a lot to do with the outcome.
I think EDs seniors have an awful lot to play for also.....undefeated season....three straight conference championships...proable #1 seed in 2AA East playoffs....
Might be easier for ED coming in compared to the way Clinton lost last week. Be interesting to see how that might play a role. I think more times than not senior nights and homecoming and the way it relates to a 17 year old is overblown. I would think playing for Clinton would be all the incentive needed.

If this happens then we need to get up with each other before the game. I'm from Vanceboro and was an all-american water boy backup rb in 76.

i would rather be the undefeated team than the one who already has four losses but thats just me.
With that it may depend on who you’ve played. But the next game is the only important game,the last game, last month’s game, the first game all make no difference. It’s the next game!
Alott of difference between a 1 seed or a 7-8 seed or later (for home field) but then....it’s the next game that counts!!!

Makes no difference in 2006 the DarkHorses finished 5-5 and they played in the state championship game. Guess where they were ranked at the end of the regular season........they weren’t!
Check out Wect-tv Friday Night football show from Friday night. On the game winning TD run Clinton's Zion Autry #22 is clearly being held by a WRH lineman. He has a hand full of his jersey. He let's go just after #3 gets by him. Not visible to the Clinton sideline but very visible to the WRH sideline and the end zone. Too late I know but the camera does not lie!!
Even if the ref saw it he is not going to throw that flag....not in that situation not at Legion....poor guy would of needed a police escort out the stadium.....that kinda stuff only flies at Bunn....lol still mad about that 2015 Eastern title game....the game was over
Who remembers that Halloween night game from 2008 i believe it was....that was a classic ED’s kicker boots a long FG to send it to OT...from where i was i swear he missed it oh well....that was a great game.....the game from 2013 was good aswell then Sophomore QB Johnathon Wright led Clinton on a game winning drive in the final minutes.......and the most recent match up in 2014 not a close game but it was Skinner’s coming out party and it was nice to thump ED for once after having to endure those blowouts during our down years
Sad thing is these two teams should have been playing for the 2AA Eastern Title Game the last two years in 2015 and 2016.....ED should of beat Bunn in 2015 and we should of beat Northside last year......2016 ED vs 2016 Clinton would have been a very very very good game sorry we let yall down

Agree with you all the way around 34, it definitely happened but you’re not going to get the call at a time like that. Don’t get me started on 2015. I made some friends at the NCHSAA on that deal!
Both the Clinton vs Northside game and ED vs Northside were very very similar. Of course I saw our game but I listened to the ED game on Jacksonville radio. The better team did not win either game but Northside was good enough to Play The. Next game.

I thought it was blatantly obvious because it was isolated from everything else, it’s was Zion, the offending blocker and the ballcarier. Zion was struggling trying to break away from the holder but like I said at a time like that do they learn play or enforce the rules. I’m not putting up excuses her or I would have posted it Friday but it was on the WRH side so Clinton people couldn’t see it until they saw the video. Now let’s move forward!

I’ve not made any claims Clinton is a great, top team, near elite status, can win it all if the play well. I just think they’re capable of winning and they are......the next game

Win or lose looks like this may be the last home football game this year.....man where did the time go this season flew by it seems like
well coming from another ED fan, there are a couple of WRH and Clinton fans who make it hard for me to "ever" root for those two teams. so i guess we're in the same boat.

Old dog trust me, there are some mighty fine people associated with that program. Don't be fooled by these ED posters and what they say. They will be first ones to come on here and second guess what is in my opinion one of the best coaching staffs in the state.
Had the pleasure of talking with a couple of them on regular basis, alumni who are now coaches there and all of them are top notch. They have unbelievable support from true fans who are invested in the program and are not armchair quarterbacks.
I for one really hope they go all the way this year...no matter how obnoxious a select few are on this site.
Oh I know there are some fine folks in beulaville, I have a sister that lives there. Played lots of softball years ago with a crowd from over that way. I just enjoy reading and shooting the bull with em! It's just passion for the game- that's what makes it such a good rivalry! I know they strong this year

Yeah once he gets rolling he is a load....surprising turn of speed for 260 pounds if he gets passed the second level tough for any DB to bring down.....just gotta make sure he keeps a hold of that pigskin....i really believe tackling him all night was having a affect on the Wallace D
