Jacksonville 32 East Duplin 27
Goldsboro 21 Anson 7
James Kenan 56 White Oak 50
Havelock 56 WRH 7
Clinton 42 Northside-Jacksonville 21

And now with the first 2 weeks done the real season begins with the shorten season and limited playoff field these conference games are what really matters.

Dont look to good for ED ..... another loss would be a season killer

I think Clinton and WRH both win by bigger margins. We will see if JK really has an offense.

Wallace/JK will not be close. Dogs will roll.

ED gets a win this week. Princeton and Jville are way better than Lakewood and Hobbton.

Clinton/Goldsboro should be competitive for at least a half but I think CHS wins by a couple of TDs

Clinton 21-7 over Goldsboro
East Duplin 34-28 over Midway
James Kenan 28-27 over Wallace
JK's defense is designed to stop running teams, not spread offenses. So if Wallace doesn't have a spread offense, with a running QB, JK will be fine.

This week contenders and pretenders separate themselves a bit. Like someone mention above Midway aint beating East Duplin matter of fact ED may flex those muscles and win by 21+. WRH takes out frustration on arch rival JK. Tigers can score but haven't really prevented others from scoring. I think WRH rolls by alot and reminds the conference just who they are. Goldsboro always has some athletes that can give us trouble and being 2-0 with confidence and playing in front of a home crowd. I can see it staying close for awhile before we pull away. But we have been kinda bit by the turnover bug at the wrong times could make this closer.

ED 35 Midway 13
WRH 56 JK 20
Clinton 38 Goldsboro 21

@Darkhorse#34 Coach Holley is probably reading this post with his head in his hands. I’m sure Midway appreciates the bulletin board material seeing how they did beat East Duplin last year and seem to be on a pretty good roll again this year.

Like someone mentioned above. Jacksonville and Princeton offer wayyyy more competition than Lakewood and Hobbton. Maybe Midway proves me wrong but i would put my money on the Panthers if i was a betting man.

ED starting to get it together. Big boys for ED seemed to a little behind where they usually are to start the season. Think they will win this week.

Yall lost to two quality opponents by a total of 12 points. I think yall get it together and it starts Friday

Certainly possible. Would you also consider the the Midway over ED an upset too despite records?

not this year although ED has had a chance to win in both losses. Midway beating ED is a very slight upset but they are a team on the rise.

Congrats i guess Midway is forreal 42-41. I had ED as my non bias ECC conference favorite preseason amd protential a contender in 2AA east. Just small mistakes they been in every game 0-3 by a total of 13 points ouch. This sets up a big time game next Friday at Clinton. Those 1,000 tickets going to sell out fast

Saw on Twitter that ED went 99 yards to take the lead but the PAT was blocked. Midway scored with a minute or so left and converted the PAT to go up 42-41. ED then drove down and the FG was blocked with a couple of seconds left.

Tough loss for ED to put them at 0-3. They have lost 3 games by a total of 6 points!

Here's the deal. Midway is an ok team. ED is just not very good this year. Clinton will be fine.
