East Duplin vs Ayden Grifton
Look for the Panthers to bounce back this week after dropping a tough game to Jacksonville. ED by 14.

Midway vs West Bladen
Midway gets another W. Midway by 10.

Spring Creek vs Rosewood
This one could be interesting. Spring Creek put up 48 points last week which is unheard of no matter who they are playing. Look for them to keep winning. Gators by 7.


Clinton vs Northside Jacksonville
After a shut out of East Bladen, I expect the Darkhorses to keep improving. Look for this one to be close as both teams are trying to find their way early this season. Darkhorses by 7.

Goldsboro @ Southern Wayne
Cougars keep handing it off to Big Bad Bowden and keep rolling through non conference play. Boro by 14.

Game of the Week:

Wallace vs Havelock
After SWO popped the Bulldogs bubble, this game will be a gut check. Do the Bulldogs bounce back, or go on a 2 game losing streak for the first time in a while? Unfortunately, the next 4 weeks is a murderous row for the Dogs. My heart wants to pull for the ECC, but my eyes have seen the talent the Rams possess. Havelock by 17.

Let’s hear some thoughts!

Clinton, ED, Gboro, midway, spring creek and Havelock all winners this week. I hope the dogs show some fight in this one and bounce back from a game they should have won. Havelock wins going away by at least 3tds. may be the best team Havelock has ever fielded from what I was told.

ED 35. AG. 14- Panthers too much in this one.

Midway 20 WB 14- Zzzzzzz

Rosewood 48 Spring Creek 6- SC beat Lejeune last year 48-0 and won only one more game. Rosewood thumped them the next week 27-6. I don't see the Gators getting another win this year.

Goldsboro 48. Southern. Wayne 0....Saints go marching in to another loss.

Clinton 7 Northside 5.....Horses get 2 in the bottom of the 9th to get the win.

Havelock 48 WRH 20- might be worse but I just can't see the Dogs not putting up a fight.

It is also Week 3. Dwelling on a week 1 victory will do nothing. Obviously WRH learned nothing from that win either, we find out this week if anything was learned from the L that was given to you last week and chances are even if something was learned it won’t matter because Havelock is outstanding. Brace yourself for 1-2 WRH it is coming. But I’m glad you can wake up and still find satisfaction in beating an average JK team on opening night in a game that was closer than it ever should have been. You may also want to prepare to be 2-4, that is only a few weeks away. Welcome back to planet earth.

I agree but from the looks of things so far nobody else in 2A is either. Northeastern maybe. Don't know much about the west right now. So WRH is not as good as last year but in my opinion nobody else is as good as WRH last year either. So all things considered Wallace is still a serious contender in my opinion.

As far as last year goes that was LAST year. It is gone and that was a very special WRH team and probably won’t see a team that good again for years, one of the best to ever come through.
Nobody is supposed to start off the season in November form, you’re supposed to get better every week and peak at the right time. Week 1 to Week 2 WRH did not get better.

NS over Clinton
GB/SW give Gboro the edge
Havelock over Wallace this year, hopefully it won't get too ugly.

you don't get a player like Javonte Williams on one's team but may every 10 years or so seriously. Mighty hard to replace.

Here again, that may not be far from the truth. I know I'm concerned that we could get embarrassed tomorrow night. Having said that , I still think we go deep in the playoffs, and at least play for that elusive drive for five.

Y'all JK boys little bit of BIG MOUTH. JK will go 0-4 against WRH this and next year. WRH will playing the best competition and winning most and making the ECC look like World beaters. At least y'all got two. Better than most.
