So if that ED TD didn't get called back, does the TD that did occur three or four plays later even happen at all? Not sure how that is an "extra" TD, but that's just me and my reasoning.
Maybe Goldsboro was the reason ED was out of sync? I think this game mirrored almost exactly the A-G game (28-20 win). AG spread the field and that causes ED problems just as the Jacksonville game showed. ED scored 22 points in the SWO game, all in the second half. ED scored 28 in the AG game and 20 last night. Don't forget that once SWO started throwing the ball, they had success and almost won. Goldsboro, Jacksonville and AG all had success throwing. Richlands couldn't throw it a lick, blowout ED win. Spring Creek is Spring Creek and result was a ED blowout. The defense last year could generate a consistent pass rush with the D-line, this year it is not happening so more pressure is applied to the DBs. The DBs ED has this year are undersized. If they play a team with little or no passing game, ED will have success. If they run up against someone that can mix it up and have success throwing, ED will have its hands full. The results this year back that up so far.
Again, taking nothing away from this years team but they are limited in some respects. Ive seen them play all but the Spring Creek game and my comments are just an opinion. I plan on seeing WRH and Midway this week. From what I hear, both teams can do both and I think JK throws it 75% of the time based on what I saw in their Goldsboro game. Clinton might be a better matchup based on what I have read on here since it seems they are predominately a running team.
I think Clinton beats Goldsboro by 10-14 and maybe more if the Bowden kid cant go.
