If the Panthers want to leave Spivey’s Corner with a win, that secondary will have to tighten up. Midway is coming off a absolutely beating by Wallace. I think ED goes on the road and handles business in a tight game.

Unless ED change their defensive approach they won't beat Midway. Midway's QB is very smart and will pick them apart.

Midways rb, #2 I think it is, is extremely quick and just so hard to get a good hit on. ED will definitely have to stop him before he gets to the 2nd level or it will be bye bye birdie. Midway being at home will help and If Midway can get that pretty good passing game going I think they can beat ED.

OR - Midway is just a little better than you want to give them credit for? Obviously not beat WRH good, and probably not beat Clinton good, but perhaps could beat Goldsboro next week and lockup 3rd place in conference? Which, given how Midway has been in previous years and considering how tough the conference is, isn't a bad little turnaround?

Interesting, no doubt, but I think Clinton proves too much for Midway. That's a tough environment, plus senior night, plus looking to seal up conference champion? Doesn't help either that CHS just defeated the team that gave Midway their first (and big) loss.

Biggest problem with ED right now is they run out of gas. They can’t finish games the way they start them. If they could play a complete game, they would have a winning record right now. Winning going into the 4th against Midway and Hertford Co. as well as close games at the half with Clinton, Jacksonville, and SWO. It’s obvious that the Panthers aren’t coming out half as strong in the second half.

Btw, this is not to say the opposite team has not made adjustments after halftime to counteract the Panthers. I’m just saying it’s a common tread that’s occurring.

Yea we're just having a down couple years, happens to everyone. But we're looking to reload the next couple years hopefully as the JV team has gone 8-0 and dominating everyone. Went to see them for 1st time Thursday against Midway and we rolled them. I'll be going to the game Thursday night against Wallace to see more as Wallace JV is also really good at 7-1.

61-14 was the score..... they may be ok but that class ED has coming up may have the Panthers back in the State title conversation very soon

They looked ok I guess. They could not run the ball at all ED was in the backfield all night shutting that down. They scored their 2 tds on deep throws over the defense so their strength is the passing game from what I saw but I've only seen that one game.

ED's O-Line has very good size, much bigger than the varsity currently has. They had one guy I bet was atleast 6ft 3 or 4 and 275. The QB looked good with a couple deep throws. Defensive line looked good clogging those running lanes. They just got a really good bunch of kids coming up I hope brings us back up if Holley can get em going.

One thing to note on the roster is that a lot of the skill guys you see on it are only freshmen. Good size across the board and a lot of athleticism in this group, they could be really special..
