Hough is Hough...we in the MeckA/I meck...know Hough really well. Great recruiting program over there with great position coaches but as u go up to the Head I'm not sold on Jenkins...with that being said with EF having a physical defense they will have a legit shot of beating Hough because they have had an issue with more physical teams in the past...i.e Creek and Vance/ Chambers. I'll give EF this for the upset...u don't shoot urself in the foot and don't b intimated and punch Hough in the mouth...u will b playing football in December. Good luck

EF will be a huge underdog in this one. Hough is #1 and playing at home. Go EAGLES

I wouldn't say huge, but I do think Hough on paper is two touchdowns better than EF. With that being said, these teams have never played each other so the element of surprise could work in EF favor (could also work against them) and maybe they can put some quick points up. I'm cautiously optimistic about EF chances.

This should really be a good ballgame. I think we will see a defense type of game. Though I could be wrong. Question is. Will Hough finally make it to the big dance or will they choke. We will find out.

I will take Hough. With the way things have been trending, it'd be hard not to take Hough, Chambers, or Mallard Creek (most years) over just about anyone in-state. Tried to tell HS fans that it's just a different brand of football in the I-Meck lol. Those guys are battle-tested coming in having played each other and usually one of the pretty good SC schools or someone like HS. So, they're probably not going to see anything they haven't seen before. And that's an edge in games like this.

Not if they win and Chambers gets by Weddington. They already beat Chambers in conference play. It’ll be extremely difficult to beat them twice.

Will you be able to buy tickets at the gate for this game or are they sold only in advance?

Like I said b4 Hough on paper should have won the last 4-5 championships..they have a habit of 1 not being physical 2. Not playing up to their potential in big playoff games C. Letting their mouth out work their play on the field. Again Hough may go on and run the table and go to the ship...with that being said I'm looking at EF coming out and jus punching them in the mouth and Hough folding...it never fails with them.

Same to you all against Weddington although I can respect them to we've always respected Vance/Chambers.

EF not built like you're talking. Our conference has "prepared" us just as well. Admittedly there used to be a bigger gap in football in these respective areas but not so much now. We should be underdogs in this game and that's fine. I'd strongly caution against bulletin board material (A Kell) and slapping kids in the helmet pregame (Glenn). Promise you there won't be an "awe" factor and that still may not be enough but all we can do is line down and see.

To be fair - I don't know as much about EF. Hough has a tendency to underachieve relative to their level of talent as well, so you may very well be right. I just know that Hough beat a pretty good Chambers team and have a solid QB. Massey predicts a close game (four points I think), so I'm sure there's some truth to what you say

Even after the loss earlier in the season, I still look at Chambers as the better team.

It looks like to me, in their last two playoff games, they have the opposite situation as Rolesville. Rolesville's defense can't seem to stop anyone, so they have to score a ton of points. For East Forsyth right now, it appears to be the opposite. Their defense has to play well as their offense isn't scoring much...only 7 against Glenn.

He's been out over 9 games now. I believe they've learned to play without him. Wake Forest is getting a stud.

Oh, no doubt. They're playing good ball. You hope for no injuries, especially this time of year, but we all know that isn't the nature of the game. Clawson has made a living at WF taking guys that get overlooked a bit from NC and VA.

I think this is Hough's most talented team top to bottom. However, I think EF'S coaching staff has been in a ton of these kinda games and sometimes the right play call or defensive set at the right time makes a huge difference. Thought that is what EF was missing back in 14-15-16.

@704CougarsDad EF saving grace has been their defense tonight. They have been in the redzone every possession in the first quarter and has kept Hough to 6 points.

Offensively it's been really bad though. I don't think they have 30 yards yet.

Holding them to 3 is huge. If EF can get in the endzone at 7-6 ur gonna start to get in Hough's head. Still haven't given up a TD yet
