Stepping away? Hmmmm.....

Oh well, wish him luck - hopefully, it's not a serious health issue.

Played better as the season went on when he got his chance. Hopefully it’s just that he’s tired of all the work it takes and the hitting and being hit.

Nice way to end your playing days with a Rose bowl win, more time for Shelton and Christ.

Bruce stepped up and performed well when he was asked. A tip of my hat to you Bruce E. and best wishes. You are a Lion for life.

Does anyone know who the very large human being is in the picture ?
@Penn State Pigskin 2023 the huge guy is his father. Years ago on a trip to Iowa I was lucky enough to meet the family in an Iowa City restaurant. Also, luck would have it, they were staying at the same hotel as me. After the game, we spoke for a few hours in the hotel lobby. All I can say is, the Effners are a great and successful family. Very humble and love cJF. definitely makes penn staters proud.

Since that trip, we stayed in touch. They would stop at my tailgate (they tailgated close to me this year) and also I would always talk with them on road trips (I go to every game). Not sure if you recall, there were reports Bryce would not be available for this season. Let’s just say he did everything in his power to get back and was a very important, unsung cog this year. As you said a Lion for Life.

For the Glory!
