  • Obtain a Vidalia onion
  • Cut off the bottom so it will sit up without rolling over
  • Core out the middle
  • Put in one half of a beef bullion cube
  • Fill remainder of cavity with egg nog
  • Wrap in aluminum foil
  • Grill until done
  • Profit

People that drink Egg Nog are Christmas try-hards.

Custard on the other hand is stupid good. It kills regular soft serve.

I've got a liter or so of nog(Alton Brown recipe) that I've been aging since last Christmas gonna give it a try this weekend.

I've never had custard. How does it differ from egg nog? Anybody have a good recipe?

I worked for a dairy company in college. I had to find room for both in the milk cooler, order them, etc. They were a huge pain in the ***, so I can't stand either.

Custard by a mile. Egg nog has that awful after taste. I can't drink it.

For those out of state who can't find custard. Southern Comfort Vanilla Spiced Egg Nog. It's really custard, but that's just how they brand it to Yankees and Phillistines of other regions. It's non alcoholic, and then you do as you want to it.

Custard, in a landslide. I grew up drinking my grandmas homemade custard every year around Christmas. I would drink tall glasses of that extremely fattening, thick, creamy, yummy vanilla flavored goodness. My aunt did a decent job trying to replicate it after my Grandma passed away, but it wasn't quite the same. My mom, even though shes a spectacular cook, was always hit or miss so she gave up trying. The store bought custard is good, I can drink a ton of it. still not Grandmas, but it fits my yearly craving. Egg nog and the attempt to make it taste like its spiced with rum is naystee.

Eggnog is okay.

Apparently the poors don't drink egg nog. Regency Kroger was a mess so I though to give Save A Lot a shot. I knew better.
