Dude is balling out this year and already over 1k rushing. Leads the big 10 and is second nationally in rushing & all purpose yards. Runs so hard and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down despite a heavy work load. I'm hoping for a strong finish and EJ ending up all conference and an all american.

it brought a tear to my eye when ej was on the feild and the other 3 of our running backs were in hospital...
here's to him helping win the next 3, coming back next year to gain 25 pounds, find a 4th gear, and win the 4th heismen!

Monangai looked pretty darn good last week at all of 5 foot 2 or whatever he is.
Yes. Fair comp.

Monangai was a 7th rounder this year.

EJ has been our best back basically since he set foot on campus under frost.

Glad he’s finally getting the run he’s deserved and capitalizing on it. We’d be the worst rushing team in the nation without him (we’re 94th with him).

Dude needs to learn how to block as he's absolutely atrocious at it. I've been keeping track this year and he's responsible for 11 of the sacks Dylan had taken and no joke. Problem is, he can't block and has shown quite a bit to be an unwilling blocker. He may be a stellar playmaker, but if he can't or is an unwilling blocker the league won't touch him with a 10 foot pole as this is required of all RBs at the next level as guys like that could cost their team games an possibly get their QB hurt. Guys like this won't even make the practice squad no matter how good of playmaker they are. He absolutely needs to return his senior year to correct this issue. This is all on Barthel.

I don’t think he’s unwilling.

Good blocking bought Jerick McKinnon an extra 5 years in the league and a couple of Super Bowl rings. No joke. You could count on that guy.

2 in particular, but there are plenty more. The last play of the 1st half against Minnesota for 1. The defender was getting past Gottula and Emmett was heading on his route out of the backfield and instead of putting all of his effort into helping Gunner keep him off Dylan's *** he just threw a halfhearted forearm block and continued heading into his route and Dylan got blasted. 2nd was he was responsible for our only sack taken against Maryland as the defender came off the edge and was bearing down on Dylan, and what did Emmett Do? Instead of picking up the block and keeping that dude off Dylan's butt, he just skirted around the defender and kept heading into his route and Dylan got blasted. A huge part of me is thinking, Emmett looks at himself as a playmaker only and doesn't have to or should have to block and it's glaring. Emmett in those situations is no longer a playmaker but a blocker and he doesn't get that through his head.
