If they shoot those balloons down the people downwind of the balloons are going to have one heck of a night... woohoo
I live slightly east of El Paso and I've been at the strip club since Monday.
So to lift a lb of cocaine, they would need dozens of balloons. You really think balloons packed full of cocaine magically float? You really think cartels are going to trust atmospheric winds to direct their payload? Saying the party balloon was “filled with cocaine” rather than helium and that it still floats is probably the stupidest thing I have read on this forum.
Where did it indicate it was a single 11-12 inch party balloon? All we have is an unnamed source, who is doing wrong by talking to the press about an operation that must have been at least classified confidential. Why the need to be unnamed? In reality, we don't even really know if it was a balloon.
You tell me. Tell me how big the party balloon is and how much coke it could carry. And then tell me if you really think that is what happened. I’m not wasting my time going down that idiotic rabbit hole because anyone with any common sense knows that’s not what happened. We don’t need to lie and say this stupid balloon had coke. It just undermines your whole cause when you can’t ever acknowledge that yeah, we look foolish shooting a party balloon. Trying to fashion it into a narrative is why people like me are leaving the Republican Party. Why can’t ICE simply enforce a code where their agents don’t constantly shout racial slurs and commit assaults? If ICE just quietly went about their business like they did when Obama had them deporting record numbers, and then strengthened the border like Trump is doing, we could make progress. But crap like the Minnneapolis surge is creating even more fanatic response to a problem that requires a cool, clinical hand guiding it. Hopefully Homan has told his wannabe cowboys to cool their jets and just get the job done. Bovino was just a cosplaying idiot.
I have no idea what happened but I don't trust people who are speaking out of school about confidential topics and sharing that stuff with media. There has to be some sort of bad motive for a person in that position to talk to the media. Classified info needs to stay classified. It is that simple.
What if they share classified info with other people via texts or signal?
Like giving information of times and coordinates of strikes for United States missions in advance. I don’t know why we can’t all agree that that was incredibly incompetent and that an alcoholic Fox News commentator was not the appropriate person to be defense secretary. But Trump wanted a yes man rather than a professional.

So once again, I am not defending the release of confidential information at any time.
Again in my previous life, I was nearly a victim of people taking money for flight plan info, to include take off times, mission duration, flight path etc. Had the person not been detained and the schedule changed, I may not be here to talk **** on a message board. So operation security is extremely important and something I don't take lightly. No excuse for it.
