Does the WL commentariat believe UK is able to sign Matt Elam in 2016 away from Alabama given back-to-back 5-7 seasons (while Bama is a NCAA runner-up and a champ)? Likewise, does the commentariat believe UK is able to sign Damien Harris if he'd graduated in 2014 during the peak "Why Not?" season? How much of a role does timing play?
More fodder: UK has signed Matt Elam and Davonte Robinson despite 'Bama's efforts. Those are guys Saban wants, and he knows defense. So, did UK win the recruiting battle? It's premature (don't know for certain what Wills will do), but wouldn't you as a UK fan, rather have Saban-coveted defensive players than offensive players?
