If parity matters, both total roster size and scholarship limits should be in play. From a Gamecock perspective, reducing scholarships and roster sizes should help us, all else equal

ESPN wants an NFL minor league and NFL teams have smaller rosters and no walk ons. Salary caps and player unions are in the very near future. I can see my interest in college football going to close to zero in the next 10 years.

IMO, NCAA D-III, the NAIA, and club teams are today the purest expression of intercollegiate athletics. Odds are hugely slim for such athletes to turn pro,
