The women´s NCAA tournament generally follows form in that the elite teams make it through the first few rounds. I think the issues people have with the SelComm are 1) who among the very good and good teams get invited, 2) which teams get sent where, and 3) which teams along the S-curve(s) get the favorable-pairing possibilities for the next round, e. g., no one wants to be the 8- or 9-seed(s).
